So I have mastered the Commando, Jenner, Hunchback, and Cataphract.

I used to love the Jenner before ECM, but not it is just meat for ECM/Streak Lights. Right now my favourite of those is the Cataphract, specifically the 3D.

I like speed and brawling the most (suits my play style more) I get bored from sitting back and raining LRM, takes no effort to play that way.

So help me make my choice while I grind some cbills to pay for the new chasis.

Thanks!

I'd say Centurion, Catapult, or Dragon. It sounds like you enjoy fast brawlers.
Dragon is more of a striker than a brawler though, since you can get it up past 100kph w/ speed tweak and at that point it's not too heavily armed.

I was thinking Raven or Cicada as I am sick of playing LRM online.

If you want to Brawl it out take the Stalker.
If you want to fight in the front line but also do more than stand and shoot try a Centurion or Catapult
(e.g. CAT-C1 with 3LL + 2 SRMs)

Dragons and Centurions need skill to be relevant on the battlefield. It's a challenge.

Speed AND Brawling - There can be only one. Just got to keep that big cockpit on the move.
Catapult C1: 4 torso energy hardpoints (2 in the CT), 2 missile hardpoints (one in each arm), a huge CT with a max of 84 armor and hard to hit side torsos that're no slouch at 60 armor, vicinity of 84kph with a 315 and speed tweak, Jump Jets for speedy facing changes now and DFA later.
Catapult K2: 4 energy hardpoints (1 in each arm & 1 in each side torso), 2 ballistic hardpoints (1 in each side torso and hard to strip), no Jump Jets though
Catapult C4: 4 missile hardpoints (2 in each arm), 2 energy hardpoints (CT), Jump Jets
Catapult A1: 6 missile hardpoints (3 in each arm), Jump Jets

edit: Just because the missile cats come with LRMs doesn't mean you've got to use LRMs. :)

Dragon. You must suffer for asking this question.

I suppose if you don't mind driving a mech that screams 'Take out my left torso and it's all over!', then the Dragon may be for you.

Dragon, because it is fun and challenging, also because with no RnR right now XLs are cheap, but beware that running a standard engine will either slow, or weak.

CN9-D with a XL 360 engine running at 116 kph (126-7 after speed tweak)

Costs over 15,000,000 c-bills and does less damage than a Raven. On the other hand it's made of win.

I vote Centurion.

The Catapult has been my favorite mech for decades. You will not be disappointed.

I piloted the catapult in early closed beta, but then gave it up (this was when LRM 90% of the time hit the head). Might try them again, I did love playing a gauss kitty for kicks too.

My Original K2 was with 1 AC/20 and 4 ML just so I wouldn't be so dependant on ammo. Got tired of all the dual guass kittys so no it's dual AC/20s with 2 ML and I run at 56.7 KPH instead of 71.3. Funny to watch me pop ECM Ravens as they run by. Be even funnier when collision is back in and watch me see them get back up after they leg hump me falling over.

I find your lack of LRM knowledge disturbing. Get thyself a missile boat.

Of all the Mechs I have tried so far, loving my 300XL/ Gauss+4ML Dragon 1- C the most.

I know that he is the lightest of the heavies and thus pays a price in Alpha dmg (and, given their popularity, generally grants the opposing team a 70tons Cataphract), but there's something to be said about a Mech that has 400+ armor, a 35 pt Alpha, and moves at 81mph.
/ shrug, I find it fun.

Mine goes 140 k/h with speed tweak. If not the CN9-D, I would recommend the Raven or Cicada since you seem to like fast mechs.

Seems like the dragon wins out. Will be buying some when I get home tonight, unless of course the catapult catches up in votes.
