One of the better polls.

This only validates what I have been saying for a while, the game should not cater to younger or forgiving styles of gameplay found in COD or BF3, where regenerating health, or insta-respawns are done to gain accessability to lower age brackets who enjoy quick gratifiaction gamestyle.

Europe/AZ has nothing to do with ping, most of the lag is being generated by client interface at the moment.

My Mechwarrior 2 NetMech for DOS (and MW2 Ghost Bears Legacy, Mercs, MW3 and 4) box sets are in the closet if that tells you anything.

This post is pretty much the demographic PGI should be aiming for, exclusively. Asking why this guy is not a legendary founder yet, and why players like him are not dropping the inflation adjusted cost of 5 disks worth of IP into this product. I'm guessing he did not buy all those games for replaying the PVE content all these years....

Well, I've been around since MW1, but never played it. Didn't seem that interesting to me at the time. Same with MW2, but once MW3 hit, I was totally sold. Played the MechCommander games too, allthough I really felt that the first one was way better in many ways. MW3 was also much better imo.

Anyways, there's not that many of us here in europe, but we more hardcore than any others!

The other vote is most probably a troll one, since it is in the youngest category and female, basically a demographic that should have no representation in this game. You can ccount in my bro as the second one, though. He plays the game, but doesn't bother with forums.

I feel like you could have broken down the ages a bit better to get more accurate demographics. 16-25? There is a huge difference between a 16 year old and a 25 year old.

Watch it, youngster. :)

OT: 38, male, US

Me too...

38 year old american man...playing robots!

Tabletop was a huge past time (started around 1988-89) with the D&D group back in the day.

-Mechwarrior 2 (and MW2: mercs.) had me trying to tune my reflexes to actually pilot a mech.

-MW3 was when I decided that I was put on the earth to fight big robots from within the cockpit of my own big robot - thats it, thats why I live on the earth. Also to build them...I loves customizing me some mean Battle Mechs!

-I only dabbled with MW4, Mech Commander I and II 'cause I actually had a life (as if) back in the early 2000s.

Now I am here and I am not such a great mechwarrior anymore! Getting better though, cause we all know 'its just like riding a bike'...
