Why is it that PUGS do nothing but complain about Pre Mades and sync drop and everything that is evil about communications. But yet you try to organize them in a match in chat to try to make the team better function and you are ignored, called an *****, a newb and everything else under the sun as they are slowly picked apart?

I just do not understand it, yes the chances of a PUG and a Pre Made 2 4 man sync drop of actually meeting is rare indeed. But they ignore when you try to help the team as a whole and suggest tactics.

I dunno I just feel like typing in Chat to every PUG who dies do to not listening "Idoit!"

Everyone else, too...what we have here, is a failure to communicate. Every match, we all start up fairly good, we get a formation going and move along, then.....ENEMY FIRE!! EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!!

W...T...H?? It is so frustrating to be in a formation when enemy fire starts up and everyone scrambles. MAINTAIN A FIELD OF FIRE.

Seems like we all need basic training in creating overlapping fields of fire, disciplined formation, and covering movement.

I propose the SOUTHERN CROSS FORMATION:

......................med......................
light......med...HVY...med......light
......................med......................
.....................Rover.....................

March that down range, concentrate fire, and win. Or, the FLYING WEDGE:

..................med..............
..........med.HVY.med.......
...light.........med.......light.

................ROVER...........

This ain't a rocket science.

When I do run in PUG's I generally don't even say anything. If some direction or suggestions are made, I'll follow along if it's not suicide. But for the most part, I get in, do what I can and move on to the next game.

This type of behavior happens in every game that implements pugging of some sort...

Pugs can be great. Most puggers I've played have will at least attempt to go in the same direction. What's hilarious though is when one guys declares "Let's all go X!" and then proceeds to head in that direction at full speed. And then, when he notices that noone is following him he yells "I said LETS ALL GO X! Why isn't anyone listening?". Then he proceeds to die in rambo glory and continues to lambast the group saying "YOU NOOBS, WHY WON'T YOU LISTEN!". Meanwhile, the entire team is together either defending or heading somewhere else and ultimately dies in noob glory to the satisfaction of the loud mouthed rambo who then vents his frustration on the forums.

I will admit that I have been guilty of this many times, but only because nobody else takes the initiative to come up with a plan of action. Seeing as how a good number of players just stand there doing nothing for the first minute of a round, how much is it to ask for a simple "yes" or "no" if somebody proposed a plan?

Don't give up! I've had so much fun in this game when someone with a grasp of how to play lays out a simple plan.
I follow those who look like they know what they are doing and try my best not to be an *****.

What I can't stand is when the game starts up and one guy asks "What's the plan?" It's better to suggest a plan. But be prepared to abandon that plan and follow and support the crowd. Heck, even when I drop in a 4 man group we'll announce we are a 4 man and suggest a plan. But we are also prepared to follow and support the pugs.

I hate it when someone asks whats the plan and the response is everything but a plan.
Should be happy the PUG/nOOb wants to follow a plan.

Sadly, it's a rarity nowadays to see someone even ask for a plan...

Mm. PUGs will certainly follow your orders now that you've complained about it on the forums.

A lot of people assume they know how to play and begin issueing orders that will only lead to complete destruction.

99.9% of people; premade or pug SUCK at this game, have bad 'Mech builds, can't aim or shoot the wrong targets.

And this INCLUDES nearly everyone in my Merc Corp.

If somebody tries to take charge, I am generally more than happy to follow directions, provided they make sense of course.

Generally with a Pug, lacking any in game Voip tool anyway and typing on keyboard in tense situations being near suicide, you lay down some basic rules/ ideas at the start and hope people follow.

This is why allowing 1 sided pre-mades vs pugs is a bad idea to start with. Nearly no ability to adapt to evolving situation for PUGs.
