It took me a while to figure out that some efficiencies in the pilot lab (mech tree) are unlockable but won't have any effect at all.
For example, the "Twist X" basic efficiency only works for 7 of the 13 mechs.
If you pick one mech over another, the (un)availablilty of "Twist X" is another small lack of information that could lead to a poor choise.
It is just a confusing XP-sink that should be removed.

Please enable it for every mech that doesn't support it (so it doesn't have to be bought) or better grey it out so that 95% of the players don't get confused by it.
In the least, make it clear that you don't have to search for an error when your torso doesn't twist farther.
Or switch it for another, available efficiency.

Not saying that's its not the case but do you have proof that the twist-x is not working for all mech?

You can just try it ingame: Look at the difference of your two compass bearings at full twist. If it is an even number (90° or 120°), the chance is high that it is unavailable for that type of mech.
I got the information from here: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...o-arm-twist.png

Doesn't work for mechs that don't have lower arm actuators (probably a bug, as I don't see any possible reason for lack of arm actuators to have any effect on torso twist). You can use in-game compass to confirm for any mech you have.
