Unfair Fights

I am tired of unfair fights. Any fight that is not Same # vs Same # is unfair. 8v8? Fine. 8v7? Lame.
What is the road map for fixing this? How do you deal with it when it happens to you?
PS: Yes, i was just in a 8v5. 2 DC's on my side, plus 1 AFK. I support this game, with real cash. I just want to have fun, not get stomped by unfair teams.

Kidding aside DC's and AFKer's are just something that you just have to deal with in any online game.
I don't want my matches held up waiting too long for people.
And it happens enough to people on the other team from the one that I am on to to even it out.

Massive truth here.
Shut up and play wins more times than B*tch and play. Even with the same player, and same tactic.

Haven't played since. Was waiting for some admission of matchmaker issues or a new CTD bug. In general it just made MWO even less fun than the ECM circlejerk squad every other match usually does.
I'm thinking it might be people still running the disco-farm scripts or something, because it seemed to be a trial stalker more often than not.

AFk you can't do much about it. There are just people who will farm afk cbills all day everyday in the illusion that they will get more money out of it rather than playing any game. DC's can be result of just a bad internet on the player side(wifi, satellite), CTD, intentional DC, or their computer just crapping out at that time so you can blame a lot of things there which isn't in PGI's jurisdiction. PGI isn't so innocent either too just so you know. People who DC'd due to CTD, black screen, yellow screen, no HUD are all PGI's fault so you can give them the middle finger on that one. Uneven matches for me are more like bugs. In my clan we did a sync drop with 4 4 man teams. Luckily we all got in the same match but unfortunately 2 of us failed to find a match so it became a 8v6 which gave one team an unfair advantage. Same thing happens at pug games to sometimes whether I am pugging, doing a premade drop or a sync drop one team sometimes is 1 or 2 mech short. I suppose you can blame PGI on that one too so give them the middle finger again.

and then rock the other team 5vs8 But probably 1 on the other team commits suicide and another
plays his first game running into certain doom using the one-man-army-strategy.
So in the end the game is 5vs6 but one on our team starts teamkilling another mech and the
rest of us legs him for that so we end up 3.5vs6. But luckily one on the other team has the 4FPS bug
and another crashed to the desktop. So we end up in an almost even 3.5vs4 fight.
In the end the 1 legged teammate manages to do a cap and we are all in it for the lolz......

If you'd call it "ECM circlejerk mechsquad" the acronym for that would be ECM

To be honest its just sad that in that time they havent got it fixed or offered a solution.
Most online games will offer a way to vote to kick the player and drop another player into the game, or put a AFK player into idle mode after no input for 30 seconds where that player is then under AI control. Either of these solution would solve the issue with minimal effort and at least not make these matches so lopsided.

So we use squires to send us packets of Data to the main server in America via boat and have to wait several years to see what the server says?
American Player: Oh no we have a European Player that is from Great Britain of all places drats we have a ping of 2 years.
After 4 years
British Player: This game sucks the ping is so high I wish PGI sux I'll go play World of Cavalry instead of this sucky KnightWarrior Online.
After 4 years
American Player: Good riddance
After 4 years
British Player has Disconnected
I think we're kinda lucky bro.

I have been in more games where we won with 1 to 2 less players sometimes 3 (Probably since we try harder) than lost. Being down three is rare. Also just a heads up they start the game in standard as loading weight class to weight class. It's not PGI's fault if people drop and I'm sure you get quite giddy when the shoes on the other foot.

While I agree with this in war, and in my real life fights use my experience over others as they do me this is a game. Discos really don't consitute as unfair in standard mode it happens on both sides so in my eyes he shouldn't be complaining. If he was in a 8v8 he knows what he signed up for or will soon enough.

This what I do. I communicate to the people on com that we have to play tighter. I'll type it to others if I'm pugging alone. Instead of breaking up I try to insist we find an area to defend with us looking at two sides so we don't get flanked. If we get hit hard on one side, we move to the weak side while leaving cover on our backs.
And we fight.
People can complain for days, or play for days while learning to overcome obstacles.
Of course, that's what trueborn warriors do.

“Thus we may know that there are five essentials for victory: (1)
He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.
I am TRIED of knowning when to not fight, and yet still being forced to fight. All I want to do is follow Sun Tzu's advice. I know when to not fight, when I am the 5, and we are fighting the 8. That is time not to fight. Can we agree that it is not time to fight 5vs8?
Where is the
“Build your opponent a golden bridge to retreat across.”
― Sun Tzu
golden bridge my oppenets built me to cross? I will cross it, I promise.
