I have a new video for the community, this time it's in my founders Catapult C-1 in River City day.
I am using:
Standard 300 Engine
19 DHS
Endo Steel
Standard Armor (nearly maxed, a few points shaved from legs)
2 SRM 6's
4 Medium Lasers
I think 4-5 tons of SRM ammo
I have the basic tier unlocked, but nothing on the elite tier unlocked. So no speed tweak, etc.
Let me know if you have any comments, suggestions, or feedback.
Thanks and enjoy!

Although 80% of the puggers could learn from it, I'm concerned they'd ever happen to watch it.

My videos are definitely geared more towards newer players. I feel like newer players have difficulty understanding how much thought that you have to put into movement, direction, weapon's management, heat management, aiming, target prioritizing, and adaptation to who's on the battlefield.

Thanks! The C-1 in this video is my founders, so I didn't have to worry about buying one.
I also leveled two other cata's (the K-2 and the C-4), but the C-1 is still fun. I originally had a 300 XL, two SRM 6's with artemis, and 4 medium pulse lasers, but it had a problem with heat and the survivability was rough with that xl engine.
Taking off artemis (it doesn't do much for SRM's anyway) and adding endo steel, and switching the MPL's for ML's gave me the weight necessary to switch from the 300 xl to the 300 standard, increasing survivability by a good amount, and also reducing my heat output.

Putting opponents in front of each other is a great movement tactic. I also use my teammates as shields too when I need some time to get in position, I'll walk behind a bigger mech and then speed around them when I get a good opening.
And catapults aren't that lame!

It is good someone takes the time to make a video where a newer player could learn some basic and even more advanced stuff. Well articulated and informative commentary is a great bonus if making a video, not those with "umm, err, really, whaat..".

Keyboard - Razer Blackwidow Ultimate
Mouse - Razer Imperator v2, DPI I believe is at 800 for control over speed but I'll double check when my fiance won't kill me for starting up the computer this early (I'm on my lappy right now)
I have been playing since early closed beta, so I have a lot of practice in, but I've only played 663 matches as of right now since Open Beta. Some folks have already played thousands, but I just don't have that amount of time.
You really need to step back and away from the traditional FPS mindset. I originally came into PC gaming on Quake 3 Arena, so twitch reflex FPS action is natural to me, but I love methodical and planned movement just as much (I'm a guilty addict of turn based games, Heroes of Might and Magic 3 for life!). Best advice I could give is to play matches in medium mechs. Assault mechs are walking turrets for the most part, so you don't really think too much. Heavy mechs can play either role, so it depends, but for the most part Medium mechs require you to think carefully about how you're moving about the battle, but still allow you to do some damage and be a credible threat.
I have a centurion build that uses an LB-10x, 2 medium lasers, 2 SRM 4's and an SRM 2. It's not a speed demon, only does about 70, but it can certainly pack a punch. I'm also a big fan of my hunchback 4g too. AC/20 woot.

I run an AC/20, 4 tons of ammo, and 3 medium lasers. Standard 200 engine, DHS, and Endo Steel.
Here's a video of me in my Hunchback:

When you commentate live things always go wrong which add humour and realism to the whole production, like your 4G video when you were fighting the first phract and you were all over him, he was one core shot from death and you went "Goodbye buddy" as you fired your AC20 but missed his core, 'you were thinking ****, I missed, he is still alive, what shall i say now'.

And the AC20 shot near the end in the water, 2 brilliant shots on a moving target then you made the fatal error of saying "You can get to be a good shot when you practice" then you fired and missed haha, you can't script comedy like that.
Like your vids but do it live, it's much more passionate and exciting, also you are good at it.
