And yet you hide when the game is not in your favor ? You are even worse than i imagine: you have talent and you waste it by shutting down.

some of these posts are unbelievable... you're a griefer for using tactics instead of ramboing and you're a cowardly arse for winning without firing. this is the first game ever where to win is to lose, to use your head is to be stupid and everyone doesn't give a **** about winning give us more dakka dakka YEAH!

one of my best matches for conquest was a cap win. the atyoical search and destroy blob was doing it's thing slowly wiping out dribs and drabs of our team cause we all split up. rivercity night on the bottom level and i made 3 caps and only fought with 1 stalker, oh i'm so ashamed for not shooting enough people in my awesome slap my wrists and tell me to not follow objectives again. so we were around 670 on their 350 and i saw my last man go down. 4 of them were on the prowl and knew where my last cap was made. so i hid and powered down to ensure the win and to ensure my team mates efforts weren't in vain. they got their cbills and xp because i wasn't a selfish ******** only interested in my damgae spoting bonuses which has contaminated every players minds from thinking tactics useing stratagy in a game that's supposed to be not another twitch shooter. any one condeming the mindfull tactics of winners are not worthy mechwarriors just g*ngb*ngers without a clue what the title really means. it's a shame the devs are pandering to you lot, even if we had TD no one will play assault cause they'll whinge about being outsmarted and outcapped and the mode will die like 8 mans have. let the futility of the pew pew moron destroy this game.

Gotta tell you, I need XP more than I need C-Bills right now, so if we're up on cap points but the battle's lost, I'll take the cap win if I can get it. Not that that happens too frequently.

I'm ok with giving up the last mech, but only if they're obviously AFK or DC'ed.

If I'm the only one left on my team, and my mech has no arms, one good leg, and only a small laser left, I'll limp my way across the map and at least try. No R&R makes it pointless to just shutdown and hide.

I look at C-bill and XP gains but also wins vs losses. If you power down and hide you aren't going to win unless you can make it to the enemy base to cap before they can cap your base.

If you run the enemy around and isolate damaged targets before engaging then it is possible to pull off a win even outnumbered and at the very least you should do more damage which results in more C-bills and XP. The enemy of course hates the it when the last remaining player in a light mech is running all over the map to get a specific target isolated before engaging.

If I am the last remaining mech on my team I won't rush at the enemy, I'll do everything I can to win. If that means I run the enemy all over to isolate single targets then I will do that, if it means capping to win rather than engaging outnumbered then I will do it.

What I will never do is power down and give up.

I would have ratted you out in a second.

And I would have taken a handy screenshot and reported you. Tough. Reporting a team mates position is griefing, which I confirmed through tickets submitted.

Apparently they should rename Assault to Solaris Arena. No, even better, rename the whole game to Team Death Match Solaris Arena Online (w/ cap). And apparently no Mech Warriors retreat to their Dropships in lore, they all just go and die, cuz people don't retreat in war /sarcasm.

And to Dukarriope congrats on being in a match without any griefers, its kind of rare.

So he hides to wait out the point to tick down, which could win the game for his team if ahead, and you all are slamming him for it. Sounds like he is smart enough to **** when he has no weaps and everyone else is dead. Not to mention smart enough not to rush in like a noob and die like one. What ever it takes to win, I don't care if he has to power down next to one of your smoldering wrecks if it gets the win, more power to him.

sorry it's just the waves of hate for anyone doing something smart in what was supposed to be a tactical game is only growing. my sarcasim detector busted a while back. so yeahh sorry about that but people who take opptunities to win with their brains over more brawling is being frowned upon and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if cappers or shutdowners are called griefers. he denied me of a kill by being smart enough to avoid me waaaahhhhh!

Had this happen to me too. Last in the match and hid in a pretty ingenious spot (not giving it away). Other mechs passed right by without noticing. Some guy on the other team was like, "Can you guys just tell us where he is already?" The only response was, "Look for the Christmas lights." I had Christmas lights in my mech.

They had to cap to win 'cause they couldn't find me. Awesome team.

Hiding in a lost battle was okay when R&R was around.

But now, it's pretty pointless. May as well go out in a blaze of glory and rack up a few extra XP and C-Bills from damage. ALL you're doing by hiding is needlessly dragging out the game so EVERYONE, including yourself, gets reduced reward.

I got bitched at by my team when I gave away the location of an AFKer on my team. He wasn't a disco. I really don't give a **** about his KDR, I would rather the enemy just finish that guy get some salvage and finish the match so I, and everyone else doesn't have to sit there and just watch the cap bar go down like dummies.
