Hi there. A very simple thing that could be done in two minutes and make the GUI much nicer is to simply mark the players names who die in red or blue (red = opposing team and blue = friendly). That way you can know at a glance that a team mate or enemy died when battle spam is hitting the screen.

Also, it would be very nice that in the large map you could set your color to be something that sticks out to make it easier to find yourself on the map, since the map does not center on you when bringing it up.

Sweet idea. like the houses or their Mercs could run team colors. Nice idea.
