Technically
When someone, puts up money to make something. Yes that's what your doing if you paid for founders pack or received mc credits for cash in game before its a finished product. That's in reality being an investor.
Investors pump money into a product to make a return profit on a risk that they hope works so they can turn a profit.
So if a game developer wants funds he goes to a big game company pitches his idea, maybe gets funds and then pays it back after.
Hmmm instead charge people for the product they don't have. Then have said people work for them while taking there money. Make millions doing it then sit back and slow down to make or not finish the product. While over charging people before the product is finished and change the rules of what they invested in while we're at it.
Let me drive around in a 1 wheeled car unpainted while you come by and work on it then tell me it's gonna be a motorcycle when it's done. That's not what I paid for as an investor.

Understand what I'm saying?

Go back to what you promised and stop trying to fix what wasn't broken. Which was the games original rules. X5 the armor and internals on light is not what I paid for. 8man drops is not what I paid for. A lot of stuff is taking to long. Your command chair is way short in updating the investors in what's going on. You have forum pages with no updates in almost a year. Well delete already. Or update. I want to see updates on pages regularly, implying every couple of days not monthly. I hope you enjoyed taking our money while taking that nice holiday vacation. Did you think to use the 20 odd million you made into new out work programmers who could help you? Like all the guys fired who ran city of heroes and villains? Come on don't be like that minecraft guy who made millions before he finished then took his sweet time . That made me sick.

Good luck. I know it was like flaming but you have to light a fire sometimes to get results.

To be honest, not quite. I was with you when you were talking about who investors are, but the second part makes no sense whatsoever.

You are not lighting anything - it's not even clear on what exactly you are upset about. I mean we all want "everything, now", but in reality things take time to accomplish.

They started coding only a bit over a year ago. They've made pretty amazing progress in that time given the size of their team. This isn't EA or Microsoft, they don't have a massive budget to throw around, and given this, I think some people in this community have developed unrealistic expectations and are being way too hard on PGI.

They cannot snap their fingers and make everything everyone wants materialize; they are not preventing features and content from being released out of malice. They also cannot shift people outside of their specialty and get any real gains (see: "mythical man-month" & Brooks's Law), and demanding the devs work overtime is just going to burn them out without significant short-term gains, and with a long-term loss.

What I'm trying to say is: let them work, and try to be patient. High quality games do not spring up fully formed overnight.

That's customer, not investor. An investor would get returns on the money. Customer gets product and/or service.

I do, but I'm not sure the same can be said for you.

Not sure if PGI have any stock for sale but if they do then I'm sure they'd welcome the investment.
