A search came up empty.

Is there any plans to be able to target a friendly for purpose of there current condition or load out?
While this apparently more for the masses that are not in communication. I would like to know more about the status of a friendly by paper doll as to make choices on whom needs back up more or perhaps even step into a shot for them.
Load out would be helpful as to perhaps better compliment them. IE TAG with LRM's.

Or even target under reticule as in past game versions?

Not yet, but PGI seriously needs to get on it.

Keep in mind, we also can't...

-rear view camera
-eject
-jettison ammo
-cycle nav points
-single fire mode
-toggle radar range
-radar active/passive
-HTAL damage grid

and the list continues...

Yeah, being able to select a capture point as a nav point would be great.

I also would really like to be able to see the loadout of friendlies.

A long time ago you couldn't even press Q to see all the friendlies, you'd have to mouse over everyone to know what your team was.

Way back then they affirmed they want to add more info to the tab screen for friendlies and generally better information management of allies.

So who knows where those things are their plate but it doesn't seem to be too high priority.

We already have a targeting system that works on enemies, how bungled is their code that they haven't implemented the same functionality for friendlies (albeit mapped to a different key)?

In terms of priorities I know this is low, but it seems so trivial that it could be done in a very short period of time.

it is quite weird that we can receive detailed information on an enemies armour state and loadout, but nothing for friendlies beyond a pretty random health %.

Take the command chair, click, add whatever point you want (flank, defend, target, move, and I think one more).

NAV points? You mean NAV point. Only one can be placed.

Do you really need more than one? Until you can single out individual mechs for commands I don't really see the point in having multiple points. It would just confuse the masses of people who probably wouldn't follow a single point anyways.

No, there doesn't NEED to be more, as one can just be moved from place to place as needed. But having waypoints which direct people (via connect-the-NAV lines) as to what paths to take, where to deploy, or how to form up can be beneficial for people who don't know any better.

If whoever takes command of the battlegrid is able to see team weapon loadouts and individually direct each member of the drop, then the battlegrid serves a deeper purpose. Right now it is just a big dartboard for one person to throw down one point of interest.

there's 5 on conquest game mode, I think the idea is that you could cycle through which one appears with some nifty arrows and HUD display indicators letting you know where it is better without having to open you map and figure it out that way
