Content, no content. Unexpected hotfix / improvement to the game prior to next announced patch is a nice thing isn't it? I'm not all hyped up, but I like to see progress and this counts as progress in my books.

Patch notes were stealth changed AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, first it was the comment about partially fixing lagshield issues, now the NARC/ECM bonus. Mind you, they didn't just add a revision, or a change log to it, they just went in and changed the wording, with NO RECORD OF THE CHANGE!

Greetings MechWarriors!
And… we’re back! We hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday season full of BattleMech Combat. The content of this patch was work that was started shortly before the holiday break and there was a focus on getting some quality fixes and improvements. We wanted to start the New Year on the right - giant metallic stomping - foot so to speak!
Included in the patch are movement fixes, [and] animation fixes. There are more fixes in there as well so read on.
Most importantly we want you guys to know how excited we are. We have been plotting out this year’s content and feature schedule and it’s going to be a big year. Stick with us and you will be able to say “I remember when…”. So strap in, initiate your start up sequence, and get ready to drop.
3050 is the year of MechWarrior Online.

Conquest:
· Changed it so you now get a resource every 1.7 seconds instead of 2 seconds.
· Increased the reward for collected resources from 25 per resource to 50 per resource.

Performance:
More FPS improvements
· We have seen an increase in performance for the majority for all specs, however there may be a handful of users that may notice a performance drop. As always we are continuing to investigate and improve on the performance for all specs.

Movement:
· Reduced/improved snapping when jump jetting
· Reduced/improved movement snapping in general
· You should no longer need to fire ahead of where a mech powers down or shuts down in order to hit them

Faction Icon (Known Issue)
· Changing your website faction icon may not be accurately reflected in the game interface.

Numerous Front End bug fixes.

Various In Game bug fixes.
· Bullets will no longer pass through things and explode twice
· Cockpit light will no longer flicker at the lowest setting at low fps (<20)
· Weapon Bay Door lights are back.

2 stealth changes to the patch notes?!?!?!?!?! Where is the QA here? Making sure the patch notes match the actual items being effected would be Quality Assurance 101, but worse yet, the notes were revised twice, with no revision history. Since many people would be reading this at different times, they would all have a different set of data on which they would be expecting the game to reflect.

QA 101 is every time you change something, there is a revision history. Whiteout is never used, changed items are crossed out and dated and initialed, with the correction added next to that. Documentation has a revision history, showing what changes to that standard/procedure underwent, when, and by whom, with the revision change history reflecting what was changed or deleted.

It's disturbing that the notes again did not reflect the reality, and even more so that changes were made with no indication of what those changes were, and when they were performed, and by whom

What happened, so lag-shield not fixed as mentioned before? Why was it mentioned at all?

And what about this mysterious Narc/ECM change?

You see PGI, this is why we are making fun of you. What are you guys doing? I thought we left the "we won't admit mistakes and try to communicate as little between our teams as possible" behind in 2012.

What's your ping number? The improvement is the removal of the victim's ping consideration so it won't remove lag shield completely but rather reduce it if your ping is high.

I dont think that is in yet, looks like it either wasn't working or they jumped the gun putting it in the patch-notes.

........Ya should have got the deal on the Brooklyn Bridge for $100 I think I would have got a better deal then what I got with this :P well know better now then to putt any cash down on a supposed game using Battle Tech as its base for a online game. GREAT JOB PGI!!! keep it up! *pukes*

conquest improvements yay! anything to break the blob slugfest trend that ruined it. perhaps people will think about where they're going instead of gang on gang rolling now. also rewards for more tactical equipment use, we need a lot more encouragement for playing towards objectives rather than shootouts, otherewise you might as well be playing any old shooting gallery FPS. will tactical play come back? GOTTA TEST IT!

I think I'm gonna set my Fang up as a Conquest mech with capture module and sensor range module now that it seems more rewarding to play conquest now.

the changes are good, i guess. they are also almost all things that probably took very little time to change/fix

i don't get what PGI does with their time, at all. you would think a full time design team, art department, etc would be turning out stuff alot faster than this

Was looking forward to lagshield fixes, now it's disappeared from patch notes with usual excuse again.. :D

This "patch" was probably done on monday, and released the day after so they can have another two weeks holiday living off the foos still buying MC :P

This game is garbage until ECM is and lagshields are fixed.

Get to work on the real issues and stop with these worthless patches.
