One on one doesn't happen enough, only had a handful of successful one on one fights where the teams actually agreed to it.
Had many that degenerated into the enemy team coming in to help, or my teammates not staying out of it.
FYI, these had "NOTHING" to do with Clan honor, or anything other than pilot not liking other pilot, except for a couple of occasions where some Clan announced that it was welcoming us to battle, I laughed at them in chat, and that started the whole ball rolling.

First one on one was a Centurion CN9-AL (ME) versus a Fast Hunchback 4P, result I won.
Second was Centurion CN9-AL (ME) versus a "different" Fast Hunchback 4P, result I won.
Third was Centurion CN9-AL (ME) versus load mouthed Atlas-K with XL, result I won.
Fourth was Atlas RS (ME) versus Founders Atlas-D, result I won.
Fifth (ended up being not one on one) Atlas-RS (ME), versus Hunchback 4-SP, and (2) Jenners jumped in, result I killed all 3.
Sixth was Centurion CN9-AL (ME) versus load mouthed Yen Lo Wang, result I won.
Seventh was Atlas RS (ME) versus load mouthed Atlas-D-DC, result, my friend had enough of his "SQUAWKING" and curbstomped him before I could get to him, they didn't adhere to "THEIR" agreement anyway, it devolved into a fight right off the bat, so all bets were off.
Eighth was Cataphract 3D (ME) versus Atlas D-DC angry from previous matches, result I won.
Ninth was Cataphract 2X (ME) versus Dragon (don't remember variant, I was drinking heavily) result I won.

I haven't been called out for a 1 v 1 in a while now in a pug match or other.
I haven't lost a one on one yet, but on a long enough timeline everyones survivability percentage drops to zero, and I have no illusions that I will remain undefeated in that respect, as I have won these engagements, then watched the 6 pugs on the team absolutely blow the match after the opposing team killed me for killing "Thier Boy".

I would love to see an Arena for this sort of thing, but I do not think it will happen, PGI has enough on their plate trying to fix the main issues that are still plaguing MWO. I would still love to see an Arena style 1 v 1 with 3rd person spectate mode though, and I would definately have a beer and watch those kind of fights.

I asked Garth/Bryan (forget who) once about 1v1 / pre-arranging two teams to play vs each other and he confirmed it is in their plans. The problem he mentioned, though, is that doing a 1v1 takes up the same amount of server resources as an 8v8.

1 vs 1 builds that win the game:

1. smrcat
2. ac20 cat
3. dakkaract
4. streakcat (if no ecm involved)
5. any light as long as no streaks involved/lagshield is still in game.

As I already asked in some matches I would like to have a 1:1 with a good ecm light pilot, while piloting my AWS-8R, to end all this "lights can kill atlases/assaults" bullcrap.

Some light pilots even agreed in match, but when we tried to meet up 1:1 we always got interrupted by some idiots.
