I quite liked the new icon....better than the empty silhouette....er but I'm Marik and my flag is Rassel....Rassal...erm...the bluish snake thingy @Roland thanks for posting the vid.
Did anyone notice their "neurohelmets" in the intro? Look suspiciously like 80s era helicopter pilot helmets lol....they didn't look particularly warm in the cockpits either....just sayin

They can't fight without ingame bonuses. It's the Davion way. Cheat, then lie about how you won.

Wasn't the squad leader some big planetary royal or other? probably got first dibs on all kinds of fancy goodies from salvage or from ships that were "taxed" as they were moving through the system. I mean, the player character was a prince and that guy was supposedly his father, so he must be some kinda higher-up guy.

Not exactly the greatest pilot though. Wheee splat.

In the timeline MW4 took place they were already fighting the clans, and like TheMadTypist said , I'm sure the royal guard would have gotten alot of the captured tech.

Aye, the new icon seems out of place. It seems more like something a AeroSpace fighter pilot would use for advanced targeting when in a dog fight. Regardless, it's interesting, but I hope to see some variants, or possibly uploadable profile pictures.

Seeing as they are basically redoing the art of all the mechs they add, why is it so surprising they would redo what a typical Mechwarrior looks like when piloting the mech?

Then I guess all the Timberwolves, Maddogs, Thors, Lokis, and so on and so forth I have killed in my Uziel doesn't mean a thing. The only mech I had any trouble killing and or feared was the Diashi, but then again every one fears the Diashi.

Karis was probably one of those pilots where after being killed by LRMs quickly jumped on the Mechwarrior forums to complain how OP they are and that's why she didn't respond to sigma leader because she raged quit.

I actually like MWO's rendition of the pilot avatar. It looks very futuristic and cool. Would be even better if our pilot avatar is an animated one, much like the avatar on starcraft units when you click on em during a game.
