How bout this longer range build: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...1ef139a3b9ec84d
will try, but I'm saving up CB for some lights so cant get the guass just yet.

If you're wanting to be different I have a friend who swears by a 2 UAC5 YLW. I'm unsure of the details of the build but it's certainly a different take on how to run a YLW.

I am <3 my YLW a lot more after reading this post. Using a similar build as the OP, and I have yet to have a game where somebody doesn't receive a face full of cannon. Recc'ed for all YLW drivers

so lately i was running ONLY YLW for days on end, and i was absolutely murdering with it. the KEY to success is accuracy with your ac20 and using your speed. if you can strafe something while accurately landing ac20 rounds on specific components, you are a murder machine.

i consistently 1v1ed dual ac20 jagers, dragons, atlai, awesomes, you name it, and was able to survive by using my shield arm, speed and accuracy. the YLW is severely under appreciated

I run my YLW with 300xl engine a AC/20 and 2MLAS and im having no trouble at all, also have DHS, FF and ES. Remember speed is your armour. (Edited For Endo-Steel)

If anyone hasn't tried this they're missing out. I tried playing the YLW with the typical standard engine zombie build and had pretty luke warm results. On a whim I put the 300XL in it and it became a MONSTER! I would argue that a cent with a 300XL will stay alive longer than a cent with a standard 260. If you don't believe me then try it. It changed my whole outlook on brawling with XL engines.

Even if it does no damage people tend to not like being hit by the ac20 round. I'll ping people with it on Alpine when I can just for giggles.

I donno man, at 7 rounds per ton, I prefer to save my shots for when they'll do decent damage.

I'm hesitant to try it with the current meta but I might give it a whirl. In some ways speed is the superior armor and if you're good at evading shots the XL will earn you more life in the end.

The damage isn't so bad out to about 500m

300m ~19
400m ~15
500m ~11
600m ~8
700m ~4
800m <1
