OK, so I am a long time TT Player, have read all the novels, played all the MW and MC titles. I can't argue that MW:O has a ways to go with a variety of things before even remotely being "there".

Despite that, I somehow manage to have stupid amounts of fun here 95% of the time anyhow.

{redacted}

Lets just say compared to what else is out there, this really ain't so bad. I'd go into more, but cant. Suffice it to say, none of the other titles are half this far along, OR are jsut rehashing a decade old engine (flying Wasps in MekTek... wtf? (And NO, it ain't a LAM, at least that would make SOME sense)

NDA police feel better now?

Unity player is a finniky thing, I played a lot on BGSO and that's a bag o nails compared to MWo too. I'm holding off on getting a founders for that one, I just don't have time now that I have rediscovered WoT (I feel bad, but a change is good for objectivity).

I've heard it was pretty broken but I don't think the complainers here understand the market they've entered. Look, you're not BUYing a game. You're not buying ****. You're providing funding to a project that might work out, might not. It's an investment in a future product that you might enjoy. I personally don't have a problem with throwing a little cash at it.

You need to realize that Tactics JUST entered closed beta. That should pretty much tell you it's broke as ****. It's not released. Even if the people on this forum can't grasp that open beta doesn't mean finished product, I think closed beta is pretty easy to understand.

It'll hopefully get better with time. It stands more chance of doing that the more people throw money at it. If people decide to stop funding it because they're not happy with it, that just means it's going to die (I worry about MWO because of this). If you want it to succeed... throw cash at it.

I will admit, though, that I'm intrigued by Mektek's secrecy. I know I could probably find the information if I tried hard enough but I kinda wanna be surprised. I just don't know if I can wait that long to find out what that's all about.

This isn't some group of starving artists trying to create a new form of art, these are professionals creating a game based on an old established license. You're not donating, you're giving money for a product and if they're asking money for it, it should be of a certain level of quality.

Referring to it as investing demeans the meaning of the word.

If you're playing it, you're under NDA. You should delete your post.

And.. the mech models..... wow. Take the worst of Mechassault and MW: Darkage, add a splash of generic Saturday Morning Anime, and BANG! There ya go.

Some of them, yes, but they made them look more like Miniature board pieces, which is fine. Some of them looked good, some silly, but silly is fine, its Battle Tech The Board Game Online. I actually like the way they made the Dragon out of all of them, it looks exactly or very close to the TRO, a little taller, rounded shoulders, and doesn't have a huge potbelly. It seems they only decided to make a few as close as possible to the originals, and the rest of their own design. I'd still play the game anyways.

can't argue with you there. That screen shot DRG does look nice. (Of course, I LOVE Grand Dragons, so I might be biased)
