Apparently there are a lot of MechWarrior books. http://en.wikipedia....ttleTech_novels

The only lore I know about is fromt the single-player games. Can anyone recommend a couple of the best books?

Thanks!

The books are all out of print except for the two Battlecorp anthologies, so good luck tracking them down...

As for recommendations, I'm a big fan of the saga of the Gray Death Legion, so start with Decision at Thunder Rift.

I'll second that request. Haven't read anything but the tabletop manuals. I did go by my local used bookstore today, they only had two books:

Mechwarrior: By Blood Betrayed
Battletech: The Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy (Has a glossary at the end)

Scored them both. But there are so many books out there, so if anyone knows of a series that is worthwhile, please post.

Measure of a Hero, Star Lord, Exodus Road, Flashpoint, The Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy, By Blood Betrayed, Dagger Point, Illusions of Victory, The Dying Time, Call of Duty. Check used book stores they almost always have one or two laying about.

You can get them all on PDF.

Read the warrior and Grey Death Legion series. Use the Sarna Site

there are a couple of omnibus books on amazon right now. i think the Jade Phoenix Trilogy and the Twilight of the Clans books are on there. There is also a surprising number of the older books both Battletech and Mechwarrior available for the Kindle and Nook. Check them out if you have either one. Can also download the apps on your tablet for both if you prefer to read them on your tab.

theres a load of great books, stackpole is one of my faves too as battletech writers go. the grey death legion books are great, the black thorn books are great too..and of course books about wolfs dragoons i laways liked, but theres tons of ones too about characters you never see again..i'd start from thunder rift and just read them all from there

Amazon: http://www.amazon.co...a1b3cde5693d12a

Battleshop: http://www.battlecor...cPath=27_35_221

There used to be a lot more available, but they were pulled a few months ago due to licensing issues. Catalyst is working on getting them all back up in the near future though.

Wolves on the Border is one of the best BattleTech novels. The Warrior Trilogy didn't really do it for me, but it's really a must read for any fan.

Must read Blood of Kerensky trilogy( Lethal Heritage, Blood Legacy, Lost destiny.), and also a great read is the Warrior trilogy. Kindle randomly has a few BT books. Borders and B&N also have some from their online used book dealers for cheap.

Stackpole is my favorite writer. I recommend starting with the Warrior trilogy.

If Stackpole wrote it, then it's good.

Coleman is good too.

Personally I find Stackpole's work to be ghastly (boring invincible heroes galore and zero character development, blech, he should have spent less time describing PPC bolts and more time working on making his characters believable), although the Battletech stuff is not as bad as his Star Wars tie-in books.

Loren Coleman and Blaine Pardoe are the BT writers I enjoyed most. Exodus Road was awesome even when not taken in its universe context.

And Wolves on the Border, easily the best BT novel for fans of real literature.

The Gray Death series is a good series but it got a little lacking near the end. the final book was also kinda sad. but that is the only series on battletech i have read do to the chalenge of tracking them down. Try ebay or amazon, thats where i got mine but after so many years dont expect them to be in decent mint condition lol. As an afternote, though i havent read any of the battletech novels done by stackpole i have read star wars books that he wrote and he is a pretty good author. i hope this helped :D

From Decision at Thunder Rift, all the way to The Dying Time "which truly made me sad" The Grey Death Legion books are a solid read. Get them all, you wont regret it.

Don't know if anyone here looking for books has found them, [Redacted]

Also, if you have a Kindle, you can use Calibre to put them on your device. Enjoy!
