This is a typical case of going to the doctors to get a fix for some ailment, in most cases the doctor initially gives you a fix for the symptoms abit like a placebo effect, effectively putting you back into the flock with everyone else bahhh bahhh bahhh.
And yet the cause of the problem goes un-noticed and continues to niggle away at every little fix that is thrown at the symptoms until the doctor is forced to look deeper into the problem, we are facing the same problem with MWO in the sense that the dev's are fixing insignificant symptoms and ignoring the actual cause of the problems we are facing.
Okay we have to appreciate that coding a game is a complex procedure, the same can be said about doctors diagnosing your symptoms as the common symptoms can be associated to just about every illness out there, the same can be said for coding a game and diagnosing bugs found within it.
with all that said lets look at MWO,:-
1. We are still in beta
2. There are still alot of implementations yet to be introduced
3. A lot of the mechanics of the game will be fixed once they address the netcode problem
4. You cant fix a spotty teenage attitude who expects easy mode on everything
5. We mis-understand pilot skills with broken game mechanics
The main cause of the symptoms that we face in MWO is the netcode, once the dev's can find someone who is willing to take on the challenge then i think we will see yet another massive shift in the way the game is played, everything else is trivia in comparison to fixing the netcode.
All we can do at this point in development is keep yelling at the dev's to fix the netcode, but please lets take just a little time to congratulate the dev's of some of the stuff they have presented us with, like awesome graphics and lighting effects (bearing in mind that the cryo engine is still very new) a good game play foundation, just the fact that they have brought back and re-vamped MechWarrior.
I have to agree that some of the mechs seem to have an easy mode enabled and rule the roost as it were but alas these are just symptoms of an underlying issue, so i think it would be fair to say that MWO is broken at the moment in so many different ways and i think that by fixing the netcode we will all see a vast change in the game and the way it is played, and i'm certain that once that goal has been achieved we wont be seeing so many hate this n that posts but more posts on balance of weapon systems etc.

Raven is the most overpowered. Assault Mechs in general are a joke and easy to kill.
