There's a few mechs I want to pilot.

Light - URBANMECH
Medium - Crab
Heavy - Dragon
Assault - Cyclops

Also, why do so many of you want to pilot Bushwackers? It's a PoS until it gets redesigned in 3058. XD

Marauder all the way. And maybe keep a Panther around for something different. Pretty much anything with a PPC...love those things....

I did always prefer piloting the light 'mechs overall, and the Clan Fire Moth has always been a favourite of mine, but for the other classes: Medium - Crab, Heavy - JagerMech, Assault - Zeus (I suppose) never did much like the Atlas.

And what about Raven Tifalia? It's probably the most "light" mech of them all and it's Liao design.

This old dog would need some serious engine and servo upgrading to keep up with the youngsters though, or it would be a pretty, 500-old museum piece at best.

Not at all. Thunderbolts do get some interesting refits in the Clan War era, and more importantly sensible ones in most cases. Sadly, it's produced by the FWL branch of Earthwerks, rather than the Capellan factory.

I posted on a thread similar this one when i first joined the community and stated i would pilot a Shadow Hawk or a Marauder but lately i have been looking at and tinkering with the Dragon and i have come to like its performance so i may end up piloting one if i can get my hands on it, if not i will have to see what is available to me.

Going old school with the Tech Readout 3025 "Hot Hammer". The House Liao version of the warhammer that replaces the machine guns with flamers.

Sure, the Raven is a great 'mech and I did love piloting it during those extra stealthy and recon missions (particularly when said mission involved one of the Clans) but I never did much like the weapons it mounts. Even with weapons configs. and guardian ECM suite it can mount, I still preferred my Crab overall. A much more reliable 'mech, in my eyes (it helps that the Crab is also a pretty speedy 'mech, topping 6 kph, even in the medium range ;))

I guess I should not not be so picky about my weapons payload, but when you are a scout, sometimes speed and terrain can only go so far.

Truthfully I would like to pilot a custom Mech. I realize though my choice would be like tissue paper out there though. However almost impossible to hit in the real game that this game is made from.

Either a Firestarter or a Phoenix Hawk.

Though since neither of them has ever been in a MechWarrior game to my knowledge...well, might be I'll have to just see if anything on the final 'mech list strikes my fancy,

Phoenix Hawk appeared in MW1. Since all its weapons were located in the arms, blowing them off (or getting them blown off) pretty much ensured a hasty death. Though you could still kick.... (and I always wondered why you couldnt kick in any of the more current games. Obviously its not that hard to code since it was in MW1...)

The LAM version of the Phoneix Hawk made a camio in the Cresent Hawks Inception, it was Jason Youngblood's Dad's mech, but you couldnt play it as it showed up at the end.

The Firestarter appeared in the Mech Commander series of games if my memory is correct, but it hasn't appeared in any FPS style battletech game.

Anyway, looking forward to the Phoenix Hawk myself.

Hellbringer. Electronic warfare, advanced sensors, and ludicrous levels of firepower for a 65 tonner? Oh yes. Even if its armor is thin for its mass, I expect fun things from it!

i will try to sort them by weights classes: Wasp, Locust
Griffin, Shadow Cat
Catapult, Archer, Hellbringer
Warhawk and King Crab.

I like your style. Warhawk is an old favorite of mine as well but I have always wanted to get my hands (claws?) on a King Crab in a MW game. I'm glad to see there's a lot of support for that around here.

As for early IS mechs, I would have to go with the Jenner, Hunchback, Rifleman, and of course the unseen.

Give me Cyclops or give me death!

Or Champion. I'm cool with the Champion.

Shadow Hawk!

A Wasp!
