The Mech-Lab Q&A may have just made the Catapult even sexier. Why have an LRM-boat Catapult relying on an ickle Raven to do the spotting, when you can stuff an XL engine into the Catapult and make a 65-ton scout that's as fast as the Raven, has all the same electronic goodies, decent firepower, and maxed-out armour. Granted, it's a pricey beast, but worth it.

Well, with the possible future implementation of semi-guided LRM ammo you could put a TAG on the Cata and spot for your own missles.

I plan on piloting the Vindicator. I'm in the wait and see mode until we know more about what other 'Mechs will be available.

Well if it's not we can always just go the traditional Capellan route and strip a bunch of other 'Mechs for parts and stick them together

Marauder has a special place in my heart for it is the first battle mech that I enjoyed thoroughly in my childhood...I would go clan normally but since i'll be in the CCAF i'll need liao mechs. Of these my favorites would be the Catapult or (idk if we'll get it) the Lao Hu or any other hvy liao mech.

Wolfhound all the way. The Kell Hounds and Wolf's Dragoons are my all time favorite units, and that mech epitomizes the combat ethos of both units. It fits so many roles it's ridiculous. You need a heavy scout, if you don't mind not having jump jets, no problem. If you need a quick mech with decent firepower to hunt down enemy scouts, that large laser and medium laser complement sure fit the bill. You need a recon lance command ride, rolling around in the Wolfhound just seems right. Not to mention it was Phelan Kell's ride before he was taken isorla just adds to it's prestige.
