The sky will be black from the rain of the LRM's! The end of days have come!

LRM's are bad? Well, not when you got 80 of them! :P

Let me know what you guys think of the video and if you want to see more.

i think the video is kinda boring.

but thats point of lrm´s theres just no "action" i mean it shows how boring lrm´s are (video vice. dont get me wrong i run 1 lrm boat too ) and how bad the most of ppl are ( not even 1 is closing up etc. ).

and to tell the truth 50% of the matches are like that the others are the opposite ( atleast as pug )... match 1 your doing 1.3k damage and 4-5 kills the next match your dealing 650 damage 0 kills ^^

Split the Left Torso LRM 20 in a LRM 15 and LRM5.
Wave strengh of 1-3 will stay the same, but 4th Wave will be 3 instead of 4 and you will have a 5th wave of one Missle.

Background: 4th Wave is killed thanks to AMS interly if 3 or 4, but a 5th Wave will take out additianl AMS ammo,
AMS will fire a whole round of 10 AMS for 1 rocket.

And you gain one Ton for more Ammo.

Btw got a 65 Tube Setup in two big waves and single rocket Wave 3-5.

But personally i prefer my 50 Tube continous Stream Setup, which leaves the enemy nearly no time to breath.
It's only 4 lower in DPS but i can carry lot more Ammo. When i see it corrrectly i even carry more ammo in my CPLT then you.

I think that whoever builds a DDC without ECM is doing something very wrong. Also, that anyone who is getting targeted by LRM and doesn't try to hide behind a building or ridge doesn't know how missiles work in this game.

Both Hunchbacks seemed to have ample cover available to them. That second one pretty much charges into the missiles coming from the open. If he had hidden behind the rock to his left he could have got into your minimum range (180) before you could have targeted him, becoming 6 lasers against 2.

Stalkers are pretty messed up by LRM if they don't have ECM support or are being TAGged from outside the bubble, though. They are probably the best targets for them because they are slow, big, and completely defenseless in the open. Heavy mechs a close second.

I still think they are a somewhat of a niche weapon with ECM being so common, and in some maps (River City, the cold map I can never remember the name of...), but they do have its uses (Caustic, for example)

I remember someone whining in youtube that MWO is "dead because of ECM - no LRMs, no Gauss rifles..." Yet I see those in every match. Usually at the top of damage list to boot. Poor folk has abandoned AMS as "useless, we have ECM...right?" and are kinda reckless when moving in open field.

Still, ECM enemy team would ruin your day badly. Almost requires own personal counter ECM carrier.

I have the 4x Artemis 15s instead. I have also 2mls, tag and 2x AMS and I have more ammo than you I think by a ton.

This is why I firmly believe that all LRMs in the game should be direct LOS only. Then the only way to rain missile death would be to expose yourself to enemy direct fire.

Sorry, I'm a TT player from WAY back and that game was balanced. No weapon had a real advantage over another...everything had a counter. If we have hordes of Mechs with missiles they will be countered by ECM. Currently there IS no counter for ECM so the tech war stops there.

Then you should now that that LRM had a basic targeting System.
SRM and MRM hadn't. LRM could be fired indirectly. SRM and MRM can't.
Whats wrong is the spread of the LRM. Thats all.
From a LRM 15 an average of 12 Missles hittet.
From an LRM 10 the average was 6.
And an LRM 20 had an average of 15.

All distributed in 5 damage groups.

PGI try to emulate this but it still is teethering out.

Nice vid, i enjoy watching people get messed up by LRMs. And that is alot of LRMs.

And you are right Fat Samurai. Anyone who builds a D-DC Atlas without ECM is a complete fool. I still have AMS on my ECM D-DC, for the times I have to swap to Counter mode.

Thanks for the comments. My favorite part is at the beginning where the Stalker 3F gets shelled by lrm's. The video doesn't show but I shot already one salvo at him before that so I alone shelled him with 240 lrm's, and my teammates where shooting lrm's at him too. That guy did not have a good time :P.

And as for the DC, I'm pretty sure he had ecm in that game it just got blown off. That's why I recommend in my Atlas guide to put the ecm in the leg so it won't be destroyed.

Panda, I'll be honest. When I see a Mech with that much fire power I zero in on him/her and do my level best to shorten his/her time in game! It is stupid to the Nth degree to belittle that much damage because it is being fired from 400M-900M away!

Heffay! F*nking hilarious. Today I gift you the internet!!! :P

I run similar Stalker build (similar philosophy that is, the setup itself is quite different) and I must say it requires a lot of skill to stay alive when the enemy Mechs come close. If one can't perform big play with 2-3 medium lasers (one can't fit more into Stalker when LRM boating), it is better to stay away and find a whole different Mech. In its best such build can decide the whole battle when hitting hard in critical situations, in its worst it is clumsy tower that can be nullified by ECM light Mech that doesn't even have to shoot, just standing near is enough. Every man's choice what to pick.

I am very very sad that I watched that. Funny but still sad :)

As to YOUR video, Panda. Just ugh! I chuckled a little bit when that Hunchy comes running out and eats 60 missiles at 200m. I can just imagine him going, "OK, that's a lot of launchers on him but if I sprint fast enough, I'll get into his dead zone and then he'll be SOL. GO GO GO!!!

OH GOD, I didn't run fast enough. BLARGH!!!"
