Please be considerate when making in-game statements.

This person started the game saying "Oh, an ecm raven with 300 ping, how original" and ended the game with "You haven't seen our lag king ..." (referring to me again)

Not everybody lives next to the servers and have 30 ping (or whatever that person's is).

If you are running a raven with a 300 ping I don't care what you "excuse" or reason is you are exploiting the current lag mechanic for a significant in game advantage. Play an atlas and people wont care what your ping is, they care because they cant shoot you and it is utter garbage.

I have to say that I have seen some real good in the MWO community. I often use "colorful" laguage ingame and I usually don't mind it from folks I drop with, but the other day my 5 year old daughter came in to my "cockpit" while I was in a match... folks on comms heard her and everyone refrained from the usual "colorful" chatter until the match was done and "Daddy has to go eat dinner now!". That is some good people right there. As far as folks just being mean to you, either... 1. Suck it up, 2. Give it back, 3. Only play with those more like yourself. (do a serch for "wuss guild") , 4. Play another game.
Above all else, don't let it get to you. Get a thicker skin and don't whine about it unless it becomes particularly reportable to the game moderation team.

Be in your best interest to not drop into the same group as Vass Rain and me ...

you might have a heart attack

I can take the language but anyways, you guys use it on TS. I think I've dropped with V Rain before. But some consideration might be warranted when it comes to people who want to insult others for something that is not in their control.

Understandable, but if your going ECM light and have high ping, you should expect some.....strife.

Also, lets be honest, if you know you're ping is generally 300 (Dew to where you live/Internet), maybe you should play something other then an ECM light? Its not like its news that a 300 ping gives a fast moving unit an advantage, and coupled with ECM removes one of the reliable methods of dealing with them. I'm not going to lie, when I see someone over 200 ping in a light, i just assume they are a horrible person.

I wish I had lower Ping. It makes it so much easier to aim rather than having to work out the bloody lead before taking the shot.

Think it has more to do with the distance we are from the servers than the speed of our service providers.

Its more the problem of old busted infrastructure. If we had fiber optic everywhere pings to the USA could be reduced by as much as 30. Still crappy g o d damn it all.

I know, But my point stands, regardless of cause (bad internet etc.) the current mechanics of netcode provide an advantage to lights going fast, I hope they will fix it soon but in the meantime it feels to everyone else like an exploit. I am simply explaining why people act this way. It inspires anger in people. Doesn't make it fair, just true.

That being said.. I do harbor quite a bit of anger towards someone who uses a light mech at 200+ ping..

So much so that when the netcode is fixed, or the lagshield is based on my ping, and not theirs.. then I will specifically ruin the day of every enemy light mech I see.. with prejudice.

Oh my, goody gum drops, what a rude personage. Who does he think he is with his high speed connection, perfect hair and dashing smile. A children killer, that's what he is, and he doesn't even use guns, he goes bare fist on the little bundles of joy and love. I tell you I can smell that kind of things from miles away, with a ping of approximately 100 give or take.
Whenever I go on the internet playing some MWOtm I always check if I didn't leave some sand in any of my orifices. I once had some in the wan port of my router, and what do you know, 300 ping all the way.

I prefer to use the smaller children as a club when beating up the bigger children.
