If your Corps leader got there because he's hosting the forums and made avatars for everyone, but is one of the worst players you've ever seen... you might be in a House Steiner Merc Corps

If your Corps Leader and his Lieutenants resign and delete their characters after a failed campaign, you might be in a Traditionalist House Kurita Merc Corps.

If none of your Corps Leaders can get a five finger discount out of a store because they lack the pre-requisite, you might be in a new-wave House Kurita Merc Corps.

If your Corps Leader lists "Manifest Destiny" and "Kicking Liaos while they're down" as their hobbies, you might be in a Davion Merc Corps.

If your corps leader has had their heart torn out and re-put back in in a secret ceremony that only the Enlightened go through, you might be in a Capellan Mech Corps (and you should run)

If your Corps Leader and his Lieutenants spend every minute arguing, and the phrase "You're not the Boss of Me" is used unironically... you might be in a Free Worlds League Merc Corps

(and a couple minor Merc Corps if..)

If your Corps Leader sees a white bed sheet and thinks that might make a decent toga, you might be in a Marian Merc Corps

If you use the phrase "You mess with the Bull, you get the Horns" without irony, you might be in a Taurian Merc Corps

And finally, if you settled who the Corps Leader is with a game of Strip Battletech.. you might be in a Canopian Merc Corps.

If you have to learn, memorize, and use a checklist that always takes the form of a 'ritual' for any use of technology you might be in the Comgards

If your unit leader picked you because you had the best odds on the betting line for your last three fights, you might be in a Solaris mech corp

If you are not sure if you are Steiner, Kurita, or hey these new invading guys are not so bad after all, you might be in the FFR Corps

Well, when I wrote this they weren't confirmed as a faction (I'm SirFozzie/Tarislan elsewhere)..

But heck, I'll take requests:

If your Mech Corps Commander tries to put "De Chikee in de basket" and says "Bork Bork Bork" You might be in a FRR Mech Corps :) ()

Any one else want to come up with new definitions? :D

If your scout lance has a drop tonnage of 400 tons, you might be a Steiner.

If you can take a gauss rifle to the cockpit and live, you might be a Steiner-Davion.

If you bring a gun to a knife fight, and only use your hands, you might be a clanner.

If your repair manual says "Blake take the wheel!", you might be a comguard.

If your 'mech has 3 PPCs, you might be Awesome.

if your leader became leader by assassinating, or stealing it from her brother you might be in Katrina Steiner-Davion's merc company

if your leader mopes around in a garden with his wife all day you might be in Victor Steiner-Davion's merc company

if your leader inherited his role because his cousin died in a warship ambush you might be in a Terran Hegemony merc company

if your leader believes that the Comgaurds are just plain wrong, then you might be in Word of Blake

If your leader talk all day long about glory of Star League and don't take money from Great Houses... you might be in one of Clans.
If he takes... you are in Eridani Light Horse with no doubt.

If you're hunkered down in a bunker and fighting the Lyran Guards, don't fret: you might be able to outflank them.

EDIT: If you turn on your radio and hear bagpipes you might be expecting company from Northwind.

If you got promoted because the last guy killed himself, you might be a Kurita
If you got completely impaled and laughed at the guy who did it, you might be a Davion.
If your make Andre the Giant look like Andre the Munchkin, you might be an Elemental
If your tattoos make you go bat-sh*t insane, you might be a Clanner
If your lancemate goes into battle screaming in Gaelic, you might be a Grey Death Legionnaire (or a Northwind Highlander, I suppose, but I always think of McCall for this)

If your CO is constantly fussing over his dress uniform and thinks anything lighter than a Zeus is an inferior mech, you might be Steiner.

If your lancemate goes into battle screaming "Banzai!", you might be Kurita.

If there's a room back at base holding some kind of experiment involving a watermelon (with a sign that says 'do not touch'), you might be working on Dr B. Banzai's team at the NAIS

If your 'Mech's joystick controls are replaced with chopsticks, you might be Liao.

If your leader is more perfect than G od, you might be Davion.

If a merc unit appears out of the periphery and says "We are legit.", they might be clanners.

it your idea of a Mech Battle, is you sitting in a Aero-space with your aero-space company shooting at lance of battlemechs, you Might be Outworld Alliance.

If your Mech has a IC engine due to Recent Budget cuts, your still most likely in the Outworld Alliance.

if your lance mates regale you with stories of "back on the farm..." you might be in the Star League

if you like the claners better than the guys your fighting with you might be in the 2nd Star League

if your mech -is- from back on the farm you might be in the 3rd Star League

if ppl want to shoot you on site you might be in the Amaris Empire

If your commander asks you to help him take the legs from a Rifleman and fuse them with the torso of a Warhammer, you may be in Team Banzai.

If your mech is disabled and you pop the hatch to shoot at your enemy with your pistol, you may be Grayson Carlyle.

If you slam your Aerofighter, into a clan warships bridge, you may be FRR.

If you re-equip you Annihilator with 16 Machine Guns then challenge a clan Daishi to a duel... you may just be insane.
(a guy I played online with in MW3 rolled this mech all the time... I don't think I ever saw him win a single match.)

If you have to dig your way out of your 'mech, you might be the Falcon Guards.

If your 'mech has a stogie, you might be in a Hauptmann.

If your 'mech has flashing lights and an air horn, you might be in a Urbanmech.
