Can you release a support orientated mech.

Seen as we have mechs with huge missile volleys, can you release a heavy mech with extra support features.

As 2xAMS would help soak up a multiple volleys??

with ECM.

As this is a support mech weapon slots would be limited or hardpoints would be restricted to balance it out.

For now you will have to make due with the Atlas 7-K which has 2 AMS hardpoints.

If you have ECM, there is no need for AMS. The Stalker 5S has 2 AMS, if you like it.

i didnt realise the stalker has 2x AMS, thanks, will give it a try.

The reason i say add ECM, is because you would keep the mech in a group as it would be too vulnerable on its own. In a group you would help protect team members.

I could see a Cataphract with 2 AMS.

I would assume not everyone actually plays all the classes. Nor does everyone remember every detail of a Mech they may not use.
