This has been a bug for a long time, but doesn't appear in any of the 'known issue' lists that I can find. It's unclear why it should take 3 seconds, let alone 30, for the server to notify my launcher that the match is over.

Please unlock the mechs faster so we can spend more time in-game and less time staring at the launcher waiting.

Thanks!

What, you want the Mech to get out of the match when it has ended and not when the game server process dies at time-out? Now that's crazy talk. Also it would surely require some advanced programming.

If you wait at the end of the game instead of hitting exit game. as soon as it automatically ends the game, you can use your mech. And thats the reason... even if you hit the exit game box, that doesnt mean the game is over yet.

I may understand the reason, but that doesn't mean I have to be satisfied with it. Your point is analogous to "If you keep walking you'll eventually cross the continent, there's no reason to invent air travel."

Besides, even waiting until it times out is not always sufficient, it can still take an additional 15-30 seconds before the mech is available.

Technically I believe the match is not over until every player in the match exits out. If everyone promptly presses Exit when the game is over, your mech might be ready in a few seconds. But if someone sits around waiting, the game lets them look at their stats for 30 seconds before it kicks them out. Only once everyone is out is your mech available.

I agree this is how it seems to work currently. I don't think it would be too hard to change the server code to release your mech as soon as a match result (victory/defeat) is determined.

I would second this.

A whole 15-30 seconds?
My gods, Man. This is completely unacceptable!
How do you even cope with something as horrendous as that?
