Hopefully this helps others having poor FPS on AMD-based systems.

If you have used the AMD Vision Engine Control Center, then turn OFF the CPU Overdrive option under either "CPU Overdrive" or "AMD Overdrive".

With this option turned ON my frame rates never got higher than the low 30's and erratically dropped into single digits causing slide-show performance and enemy mechs would teleport and jump back and forth.

After turning CPU Overdrive OFF, my frame rate in the mech lab is consistently stable at 74-75 FPS. In matches my frame rate tops out at 75 FPS with minimum during heavy action around 25 FPS. Overall the average during matches is around 45 FPS. There is no slide-showing and the game is very playable.

(Manuallying overclocking the CPU works fine, but I do not appear to need any extra CPU boost.)

My game settings are: System Specifications - Low, Motion Blur - OFF, 1280 X 800, Fullscreen. I have not tried higher settings since discovering this fix.

My system: AMD FX-6300 6-core 3500 MHz, 8 GB 1866 memory, 128 GB SSD 6.0 Gb/s disk drive, AMD Radeon 7850 with 2 GB DDR5.

I dont realy belive that AMD overrride (on/off) got any influence on FPS but i will try it.

But .. i think you should get more fps on this type of spec im hiting over 60 on Athlon 2 x3 with 16 gb ddr3 and 4870 2gb ddr5, without SSD HD

An athlonIIx3 isn't such a bad cpu, especially with fast ram. Since this game is very dependant on per-core performance an FX will probably perform on par with an athlonIIx3.

You say you're hitting over 60 but I'm pretty sure fps will bog down massively when a brawl happens. I see 140 fps regularly but that doesn't stop the fps from going to 35 in a big brawl. (i5-750 4.2 GHz)
