Awesome work on the Jumpship art Spooky, probably the coolest Jumpship art I can think of, actually. Dang baabaa, cool stuff with the Cat K-2! It's good work, but you should make your own thread for it, or at least change the title of this one

With my humble canon knowledge, I had around 3039 in mind...

3L doesn't exist until 3048... and Davion units can't get any until as far as 3057 (the days of Liao-Marik Offensive, the first engagement between our houses after the 4.SW) and even that is from a completely lost war, so they would have to be extremely lucky.

Commando is the light Davions use for the time being, at least from what we have in the game right now.

So mod it to a 1X or 2X. House Davion captured plenty of both. And modded a ton to 2X configs.

Plenty of those in Davion hands as of 3039.

Yep, but 1X has no TAG/NARC and all should be reequipped for the 2X by now. And it really doesn't look like 3L. No TAG or NARC on it's arm and technically a completely different design than the other Ravens. The design you posted is an errata as this is the sheet for RVN-1X: link.

2X also lacks TAG and doens't look at all like the mech on the picture.

actually, the design I posted was from the TRO 3039. It's the 1X. And there is precious little based off the official art, differentiating the left side of the Mech from later models. Davion has 1X and 2X, hence I fail to see the problem. If you want to use the old Sourcebook art, which was horrendous, the Cataphract SHOULD look like this:


I think confusing bad art for "canon look" is not a precedent I worry about as the Jagermechs then should also look like:

As I already said, that design you posted is:

1st - An errata, because it shows NARC above the SRMs, which the 1X doesn't have.
2nd - 1X doesn't have TAG, nor room to equip it.

Or, it could be representative of the 5 odd tons of electonics and primitive ecm mounted by the 1X. Seeing as it ran on special case rules designed specifically for that mech. Rail at me all you want, but that art is the official art, which visually is in line with all other versions depicted savebfor the horrendous Housr Laio sourcebook throwaway art.
