Thanks all for all the info you put down :)

Ive been trying out the Spider-5D and its been fun.

I tried working with the stock build but the flamer wasnt doing much (it was fun though) didnt seem to hurt my opponents even when they had no armour :(

I do believe that positioning is pretty much the key, and that, rather than ECM being the 'problem' its more Streaks being the issue (coupled with ECM Lights)

I've still got a way to go before im a 'master' but its enjoyable (with the odd exception where you have swarms of 2D's and 3L's.


But, thanks for the input and hopefully some other newer Light pilots will take an item or 2 from this thread and make good use of it :lol:

Also, if you realize that one mech, or class of mechs in particular is causing you problems, read the threads on those mechs. Often times you will see something along the lines of "I really hate it when lights do ______." That should tell you that by doing that it makes a light even more deadly.
