No, DV is saying that you don't understand how Elo ranking works, which indeed seems to be the case. You might want to read up on the subject (hint: Elo has nothing to do with existing stats we have).

PGI is going to royally screw up it's version of ELO and its going to probably put an end to RHoD as we won't be able to get a synced match in. Those two factors will cause another significant reduction in competitive players who in general are the ones with a higher propensity to actually spend cash on this title.

PGI's track record for first time deployment of a major game mechanic is horrible and has been since early closed beta. I don't expect ELO to be any different, which means PGI will need three or four major iterations of ELO before it becomes remotely close to functioning as intended.

You mean 'Elo' not 'ELO', and it's a rating system that works on the stats if they're good enough to be used.

If there won't need to be stats wipe because it's going to ignore all the old stuff, then you should know I am happy for the premaders with exploiter-stats not coming to any harm they surely can't take, and so there's nothing to add.

And the stats still need wiping IMO, of course

Ugh... ELO is an entirely different metric. It does not work on stats at least not the stats your thinking of.
So for clarity:

No stats wipe is needed
It won't ignore current stats because it does not use them
It has nothing to do with Kills,Deaths and to an extent wins and losses (although they still have some part but not in terms of the overall ELO ranking)

And if you still don't understand, i think your going to be disappointed by ELO.

He's right about the proper form of Elo, it is Elo, not ELO. You are right about how stats do not affect it at all.

Correct and i always type it ELO, because it's habit the grammatical aspect is not that important to me.
