Arm mounted ballistic convergence currently is autrocious, as it has been for as long as I can remember.

How could PGI easily fix this or atleast provide a workaround (a workaround such as being able to toggle convergence on and off).

What ideas do you forum posters have?

Easy.

"Standard" convergence distance to 150m (?).
Otherwise press "R", and weapons immediatelly adjust their convergence to selected targets distance and keep it there updating adjustment with movement.

Given the need to lead targets, the last setting "R" should have to be updated manually with the pipper on the target, and then back to lead distance. Automatic tracking and weapons fire would basically become auto hit, or auto miss (hit scan) with auto convergence.

Gyro-rangefinding sights have been were already in use since WW2 & Korea, why not in 31st century?

Don't give a damn if this is implemented as manually (mousewheel?) adjustable 50-100m steps, as long as it fixes nowadays situation where aiming sideways moving mechs is weirder that Japanese fckmovie.

make it for me: automatic :(
Hello? Let´s crawl out in battle and measure the distance!

When you hold you crosshair over a target it shows you the distance,
what do you think should convergence be adjusted to? 120m? <-- IQ???
Boah i get a fallback to stoneage!! Here you'll find people that should even see a doctor!
Make it for the especialy-all-120key-user manuelly and every meter a other key. :D
The right one should always be deactivated.

Ragor, thanks for the thread link.

The goal I think we need to have is to find the easiest way to implement a change that can fix the convergence issue. Something that PGI could do very quickly.

I am really tired of the terrible arm convergence issue that arm mounted ballistics have.

It doesn't need to be perfect, but it needs to work, be easy to implement, and require very little time to program. This bug needs to go, asap.
