apparently net code is so important it is both first and second in the priority list.

1 - Net code
2 - Lobby (assuming that includes integrated voice)
3 - Better UI

It may have been useful to split out "voice chat" from Lobby. (I'm assuming an integrated voice chat would be part of the Lobby system. Maybe not.) If this game had a built-in voice chat systems (a working C3, TS, whatever), we could do more to retain and instruct new players than we could ever do using the built-in text chat. To me, in-game voice chat is the #2 priority behind improved Net code. Users shouldn't have to rely upon third party voice apps to communicate with their teammates.

whats the point of CW with as few maps as we have?
whats the point of CW with the netcode and lagshield as it is?
losing planets from sync dropping ecm lights wouldnt be fun either would it?

3. Community Warfare

Think of this, how much did the game change for people when they started doing group drops? Big deal right? It's time for the next step, it's time for guild interaction.

The game is at a point where playability and new content need to take a backseat to community warfare. Many players are beginning to leave MWO because it has gotten stale for them. Honestly unless you care about your stats there is no carry over between games other than cbills and xp, which I don't have much use for anymore.

We need to get this going and established before we go any further, regardless of content or netcode errors. Why? Because it's now or never folks, we need to set the hook if this community is going to thrive. I don't see nearly as many people online on a daily basis (on TS) because the game is getting stale for them. The matches need a purpose beyond the match itself. I play for love of the game but not everyone is the same way, in fact after 7 months I'm pretty bored too. And this patch isn't super promising, the spider? bleh, nobody cares.

Give me a reason to fight!

Yep I agree!!!!!!

NOW MAKE IT SO...LOL

Even without people selecting netcode all three times, this is quite possible. In fact, with netcode being the big winner in the first priority, it's fairly reasonable to assume that anyone who didn't rate it first would end up rating it second.

Interesting note:

Those mechs were put into Battletech when it was just mechs vs mechs, long before Infantry was in the game.

Machine guns and flamers are meant to be used by mechs against mechs, when infantry was introduced, they simply did bonus damage against them.

interesting note: how well do they work here?

You can have CW with 3 maps LOL

No idea what Netcode is don't care lag shield then use your own lag shield LOL

What ever....

Once I get the mechs im looking to get and have them elite or what ever I probably wont bother with the game until CW comes out..

Netcode comes first.

After netcode is fixed, it will finally become possible to take approach to the balance. With need to balance both chassis and equipment and unlimited variety of builds it will be very difficult process. But at least with netcode fix all in-game hardware will begin to work as currently intended. Balance is second thing to do.

I have troubles choosing third thing. Though grinding without metagame can become boring, I won't object if they delay Community Warfare introduction until, say, 20 IS mechs are in and their balance is somewhat adjusted. So looks like third priority is massive UI updates and fixes (Lobby goes here too) and new content added and balanced. Then we're ready to tear the Inner Sphere apart and show meddling Clan snobs what real war looks like. But announcements of the Community Warfare game mechanics should be made earlier to maintain some hype and let people prepare better.

#1: Netcode. Really need to fix the lagshield and rubberbanding before ANYTHING else.

#2: Lobby. Why not ELO/matchmaking? Because with a lobby it would be infinitely easier to find a group, and fewer players would be solo dropping (Though it would still happen of course). Also around this time I expect in-game voice chat to actually be a thing that exists, thus removing much of the need for a better matchmaking system. I'm not saying it should NEVER be added, but it's not nearly as high of a priority as getting a proper lobby/chat system in place so random pugs can actually communicate efficiently should they choose to do so, and without the assistance of a third-party program being required.

#3a: More mechs. We should have a crazy number higher than what we currently have. Canonically speaking, we should have had most of the ones I'm speaking of two years ago. ONE new mech a month isn't EVER going to catch up, and at this rate will only cause the game to fall behind even further. Voted for mechs in the poll but they're equally important as gametypes in my opinion.

#3b: More game modes. Stand in a square for a minute or kill the enemy team and stand in five squares or kill the enemy team aren't exactly good ways to reach the game's potential. We were also promised 12v12 team deathmatch as well as this mysterious new 'dropship' mode like a year ago in an old interview about the game.

Canon shouldn't even matter for gametypes - If there's some faction system with static, global scores or maps, then of course only specific modes should be used for that mode, but there should definitely be a free mode or something with more varied game types (perhaps less rewards, but not removed altogether) that allows respawning in a match... Maybe even changing mechs (The four mechs you have 'selected' in the mech lab will be the ones you can use in the match) between spawns. I'd also love to see a co-op mode, perhaps a short campaign and a daily co-op mission. I doubt it would take particularly long to make new missions for it once the game type is coded, just move a few things around on existing maps - Could even set it up so the daily missions are randomly generated.

Interesting. I figured balance would rank higher. I could care less about fluff such as community warfare, new maps or mechs.

Maps. I am getting burned out playing the same four with just minor differences added (night/day, snow/no).
Community Warfare. Lack of continuity between all these random matches I play is also contributing to my feeling of being "burned out."
DX11/graphics. I presume this would fix some of the performance issues we're currently seeing. If not, maybe that category on the poll should have /performance added to it?

Basically there is no point to having the game if it doesn’t run well, No amount of eye candy or and new stuff will keep the product alive and healthy, if what you currently have causes grief to your customers due to poor net code, latency, poor and erratic fps, and lag etc; plus other issues like balancing, all that happens is gamers start bitching and infighting over stuff, they are likely to become disillusioned by the slow implementation of "substantial" improvements, and vote with their feet. We know there are no magic fixes and that we have to be patient, but there are limits.
