To All Mwo Players - Priorities

1. Lobby -- This is a social team game. Fixing this will help the game out greatly and better allow the veterans to interact with the new players.
2. Community Warfare ... this is for the guys whom are going to pay to support this game. Without this ... the game is lacking.
3. Netcode ... fixing the netcode will fix a great deal of the current imbalance within the game. Lights should be scouts first ... not assault type mechs (I often pilot a Raven / Jenner so I tend to be biased towards lights and realize how OP lights really are).

I wouldn't mind some new maps and mechs as well but something to do with those comes in ahead of them as far as I am concerned.

Second is game balance. From your 3 UAC ivory towers, it's hard to see how limiting poor game balance can be.
Third, related to number two, are game mechanics. Not the guys in the mechlab, but the actual guts of the game. I'd rework a lot of them from scratch, namely heat mechanics, hit detection and EXP.

2) Netcode
3) New maps
I want NEW maps. Not day cycle re-hashes of current maps. I can overcome netcode, that's not any different than any other shooter with ping discrepancies. I want NEW effing maps, I don't care about getting any new mechs anytime soon since there are plenty I haven't mastered out yet (Hunchie, Commando, Cata, Cicada, and STK).
The 4 maps we have (Yes, 4, just 4 with different day cycles) are getting kinda stale...
Then there's the netcode. Which I want, I actually preferred the BF style of client side hit detection since I tested out the servers side exploits. I decided to download a few movies from my server I keep in the shop (My LOTR movies I burned on the drive actually ) While playing with a fast dragon and a 3L. I wasn't fair... at all...
And then I want new maps.

I think lights will still be very viable, just different.

I hope they come sooner than that, a lot of us really want to just be able to set up matches with the people we intend to fight every time we want to.

I'd like:
1) better net code (the ravens/cicadas warp around and can collide with my heavy yet doesnt fall down? whatever happened to collision?)
2) better new player experience. This game is atrocious for newbies. I've had friends try it and never want to come back to it.
3) Better game overall.
The game lacks real lobbies or any type of decent match making. It lacks a real community. The game itself is very niche'd and is not user friendly to the newcomers. It's fun for maybe the first few fights, but after that it's very repetitive. What's the point of all these fights? Remember back in Net Battletech when we were fighting for a cause? It makes the game more interesting.
PGI isnt taking advantage of the Battletech universe.

1. New User Experience - As it stands now the NUE is still supremely lacking. It's definitely gotten better but I still haven't been able to get any of my friends to give MW:O a try. For them being forced to use trial mechs is just a deal breaker. They have played other Mechwarrior titles before so they know what they are getting into.
I've suggested giving the cheapest mech in game to every player at the start is the best way to go. That way they have at least something they can customize. On top of the Cadet Bonus I think this would be a good system.
2. Balance - Lets face it. The devs are continuing to add technology into the game that supremely breaks game balance at first. Artemis and ECM are some of the big ones. They need better play testing before putting these out into the live game world. ECM in it's current state was a terrible idea.
3. New Mechs/New Maps - New mechs will add variety to the game (once they nerf ECM) in that with 4 chassis and 10+ variants per weight class games will get more intriguing with team composition. That and new maps are also a priority because right now we have 4 maps with 2 variants each and we definitely need more.

With the ability to sync drops, much of the other can be patiently waited out. At least we can have fun while they finish this game.

1. Netcode.
2. DX11/ Graphical updates. Engine optimizations, to be precise.
3. ELO/ Better new player experience.

I voted:
1: CW - We need some game content that will keep us around for awhile. 8 man is fun and all, but the community needs something for the long haul
2: Netcode - While I can hit a light with lagshield, it is a bit annoying. Im also hoping that netcode and collisions run hand in hand. /pray
3: New maps - Once again, content is king. The thing that will keep the average Joe around is content.
A 4th choice would be ELO and better matchmaking.

ELO/new player experience and a lobby are important for getting new players on-board and fostering a community. New content is nice, but means nothing if no-one is playing.
Netcode is important as the game fundamentally is about gunnery so can't be anything than up to scratch. PGI are working on it though so we can't complain about netcode, not really, as it's being addressed. If anything we can complain about the things that were put into the game despite the bad netcode (*cough* ECM *cough*).
I'd put content and specifically maps (not mechs, or equipment) fourth.

Now its netcode, mm, balance.
Otherwise it would have been netcode, regional servers, mm.

1: Net code - because what we have now really blows and it should include Collision.
2. DX11/ Grafix - Because implementation of DX11 would solve so many of the limited capabilities of old DX9
3. Maps - Because playing the same couple we have has gotten so old and its High time to start testing some other materials.
We need content just to keep interest alive. Clan warfare sounds cool but the basics of the game are broken so fix the basic stuff first before they worry about adding a ton of other new junk. Also saw no option to remove the chat radio from front page as I fond it so important to know that Cheesy McDingle has a new ReMix out. Oh how about the option for MORE SERVERS for our Foreign Brothers.
