1. Maps
- I'm so ****** tired running those same bullshitmaps over and over again. Best was, that on the other day came "River City Night" 14 times in a row....HUUAAARRGGHHH!!!

2. Netcode
- When you have a gun that's projectile velocity is 2000m/s and you need to take 100m lead to hit a mech witch is 200m away, something should be done.

3. CW
- At least there would be a purpose to keep playing, even when PGI constantly ***** gameplay up with ******** patches and equipment that do nothing or explodes everything.

It seems that among our guys, River City night is by far the least popular. If they could shift resources off of mechs and into maps I'd be all for it.

While I voted for netcode #1 and clan wars/community warfare #2, that second one I mean to refer to the fully-developed Inner Sphere meta-game experience, which is not the same thing as simply enhanced matchmaking within player control. The meta should really be a separatre selection.

I know exactly what you mean. If it's just players playing the same slog in matchmaking but with aggregate scores reflecting a changing stellar border then... ZzZzZzZzZz. Players need to have their own controlled areas, be able to invest in and upgrade their planets, have tangible rewards etc.

Scrap the "new maps" option. put "bigger maps" instead. Screw all the new content when every map has exactly 2 points for conflict.

I think a lot of the current maps are greater in size than we realize, I think it's just the out of bounds markers that keep us within smaller sections of them.

1. Netcode: I just finished watching a gameplay video I made before the netcode went south. I saw how I tormented jenners with LL assaults. I miss those times.
2. Balance: Without this, the game wouldn't be fun. And it is the reason why it isn't fun now.
3. CW: Very important feature giving battles some sence.

Adding randomized drops would revive the current maps, thus making them feel fresher.

I'm not sure I understand? Old maps as in pre-MWO maps?

The current maps are getting old because we always drop in the same locations. Randomizing where the enemy's base is would make the maps feel fresher longer. This highlights another shortcoming: the current maps are too small.

Looking at this game from the 10,000 foot view ... It seems like the developers have prioritized making a visually superior version of MechWarrior (great job!) and have come up short on game play. Of course, it is BETA and we cannot have it all straight out of the gate. Hopefully the community can understand how these things take time.

Absolutely. Adding more spawn points isn't a perfect solution but it would change up the tactical dynamic a bit.

1.) netcode - because lights should die

2.) balance - because ECMs are OP as hell and need a real counter

3.) ELO - because playing against premades as a lonewolf SUCKS.

EDIT: Nice post OP.

1) Free Cartman

2) This thread needs mor p3ni$

3) Give PGI another 3-5 weeks to get Mr. X in the box and Net Code (Firing, Movement, Hit Detection) first itteration of live fixes in.

This is the condensed, quantified version of it: more numbers, less rabble.

netcode, maps, elo. once netcode is fixed, the repetitive nature of the maps will exponentially be more irritating. elo, well because of no voip in game. Its needed for the noobs.

I had this epiphany a few weeks ago.. You forgot something that everyone is overlooking.
Command and communication in game..
the primary reason pres stomp isnt their talent, its the power of voice comms. Commander and coms on a pug team are woefully inadequate at emulating what can be conveyed by voice coms.
No audio "help in g6" "assault in d3" "defend base" theres nothing.
chat barely stays on screen.
It s the only thing that can help tip the balance of power from voice com teams and nobody ever says anything about it.

THis poll should be forwarded by a mod to the devs.. This poll and all other good polls.. Simple , concise, data.

New user experience is absolutely vital if you want the game to stay afloat. Getting the netcode fixed is next, because obviously we shouldn't have to be shooting at the air in front of a light mech to pierce its lagshield (leading a target is an important skill, but the necessity of lagshooting is ridiculous). Third for me is a lobby system for the better pre and post match communication that is key for a real in-game community.

Most of the other things on the list are not quite as urgent.

Since the Dev's are spending so much time on them and most likely want them to be relevant down the road in 12v12's, its very likely the maps are in fact a bit bigger than we can see.
