Really guys, really? Can we move away from knee **** reactions and just be happy that Mech Warrior is,in fact, back from the dead, not in a Mech Assault-esque form, and is a free MMO of all things? If your happy and you know it raise your hand *raises hand*.

I know right? People need to be more positive about this as a whole and support the devs with words of encouragement!

I'm sure similar things were said about the Wickerman remake. We're gamers, we're cynical by nature.
Look at it this way: If all the naysayers are wrong and the game does become totally awesome, break out the champagne : D
Until then, it might be a good idea not to get one's hopes up too much.

It's never good to get your hopes up, as it usually leads to disappointment. But some of the reactions on here are nothing but negative based on speculation that THEY made in their heads.

If you want anyone to listen to your negativity, at least make it constructive instead of all of this "its goin 2 suk!!"

I tried doing that in my thread "So, F2P..." located elsewhere on the forum. Feel free to give it a read : D

Threads like this, in my oppinion, are just as bad and serve only to inflate the problems.

People will post. They'll post what they think. If its negative or positive, constructive or destructive, respond constructively.

Threads like this, though. Shouting "Go away haters!!" is as bad as "It suks!!"

Still Devs like positive encouragement ESPECIALLY when they haven't even released anything yet that can be really criticized from a hands on perspective

Let's also keep in mind the initial reaction to the new X-Com game. To be fair, it's a completely different thing; They took one of the most respectable TurnBasedStrategy IP's of all time and turned it into a first person shooter, of course there was going to be hate.

But whenever an "Old, Venerable IP" gets dusted off, some trepidation is to be expected. Once it gets released, we'll know for sure. That won't stop us from telling the devs what -not- to do with it, though. I guess we'll see if they listen to the fanbase, once we have enough info to actually start giving actual suggestions.

I would be surprised if they didn't as long as the suggestion don't run along the lines of "dus not makth teh lor" or "I want 2 by Atlas with real moniez".

Negative feedback, even this far before release, is probably expected. For the most part the posters in question are either trolling or disappointed that what has been revealed does not fit into their small window of what a BattleTech based game should be like. Best to ignore them and wait to see how the game plays out.
