So, as an EU'er, if I buy the premium founder bundle and play the US beta.. will my paid content be on my EU account when the EU servers appear?

Obviously we don't want to have the content we pay for on the wrong server, as it were. Its not made clear in either the Operation statement or clarification.

One of the devs said account migration is not yet determined. i'll see if I can rustle up the quote.

The closed beta and OPERATION INCEPTION assets will enjoy support only in North America.

My guess is that this means that whatever "founder package" you buy will only be applicable to the NA server region. Most likely there'll be similiar packages for different world regions imho.

Long and short of it: Don't buy anything until you've got a straight answer from them.

Its not decided yet, all the questions regarding non-american players have to wait until we get an answer from the devs.

Well, quite.

I suppose we need to be informed before the package becomes available for purchase. I'm fine with getting 'our own version' but it would seem a recipe for trouble if they make the 'US Only' package available without any server migration support which promises access to the beta. Many would buy without realising that it would not be available to them on their own local live servers.

Case and point, I suppose.

Even putting the might-unwittingly-buy-even-though-not-in-NA thing aside: it seems foolish not to extend this to EU and beyond. We want to throw our money at you!! Don't alienate us!

Also the fact that the (unofficial) proposed release date is so close and nothing has been said is very worrying...

I am US citizen abroad working Thailand and will try to buy the founder package, and I would like to remain on the NA server as I plan on heading back home at some point. I just hope they let us non NA folks go ahead and buy them if we like. Although you EU guys would certainly want the chance to switch servers.

Its my concern about the bundles so far too ...

I think before the 17th of June (when the bundles actually go on sale) We will probably hear the 'low down'

I'm guessing there will be a EU server with identical packages. Hopefully the server will be in Poland (Why? It is placed well geographically [for Western, Central and Eastern European and Russian players] ... Its cheap to outsource here ... The infrastructure is well developed ... well digitally anyway. OH and I live here ;)

So I think we need to be patient. The devs are processing all the Beta data at the moment.

This is about MONEY so they wont drop the ball on this. They must know that EU and Russian players are not gonna throw money away if they wont be able to keep what they buy when the other regions go live.

Not wanting to start a flame war but given my experience of Russian players on BF3 I'd rather not have them on the EU servers. I'd rather the Netherlands held the EU servers as they always seem to provide top notch connections (even better than the Germans) and they all seem great with languages.

Does anyone even know how the servers will be segregated? will it be a simple matter of selecting which server you want to play on, or is it a seperate client download depending on your location?

Well has to be said i aint buying if there aint no EU servers. Not throwing money at a project that is only available via NA servers.

In my experience the only difference playing on US server to an EU one has only been 40-50ms, so I'm not overly concerned.

The only reason i wont buy a founders package is becourse its NA only, now if they do a euro version, then i will buy one, but untill then im not spending any cash on something that i will probaly lose once the euro server goes live (especialy if they do a hard wipe for euro accounts)

i am too waiting to hear their decision about EU servers. This "Founders pack" is really something that i like buy....but if there is no EU servers then i need to think again. Not that i don't like idea that servers are not in EU but i am afraid idea that some day(3-6 month) after release they decide to open EU servers and THEN there is no migration :)

But if there is EU servers and "founders pack" for us too...then count me in ;)

It's not them speaking Russian I mind. Did you see the breakdown of cheaters caught by region from DICE? Nuff said.

You are joking surely? 40-50ms increase equates to doubling your ping. Pings also don't tell the whole story, I find packet loss to NA servers unacceptable. And you're assuming the NA servers would be East Coast. If they're West Coast then good luck even getting a connection stable enough to get a ping reading.
