i think we just care about this game lol.
if a parent cares about a child, they are going to scold him hoping he will do better. Nobody succesful grows up to say "you are horrible parents" after that. If PGI ever becomes succesful they won't look back and say wow we hate all these forum users that pushed us to do better.
though it has been show that negative reinforcement doesn't work. But how else would the devs know?
Probably would get better results with objective criticism instead of negative rage.

It's almost as bad as every forum for every game ever.

Oh no we are horrible for expecting a problem to get fixed that has plagued the game since closed beta. The same problem that had us pleading with them to not go open beta since the game wasn't ready. The same problem that we still face literally 6 months later.

Hard to be positive when each patch that is said to be a positive improvement looks like a negative step.

Actually, I recently got into the Warframe beta... and its forum is so much nicer. People actually report bugs and give proper feedback, instead of whining about whats OP or not
Of course, it is still in closed beta.

If I truly didn't care about this game like so many nameless-not-worth-mentioning FPS that have been produced, I would have played once, though "well this game sucks-***, next!
But no, I actually want this game to be successful, I want new players to come in droves to play this game, have fun and NOT have to be plagued by issues like equipment imbalance, unstable clients, tiny maps, weapon imbalances, etc.
But these issues have been around for MONTHS with very little other than a small snip from the Command Chair saying "they are looking into it..."
The only thing I am happy about this patch is that they gave us another updated address on what they plan to do with the netcode! Thats great, but what about the fixing of the large beam weapon heat? Something so, so simple as changing a weapon value stat. How does it take two months for that to happen?
My only conclusion is that they looked at it, thought yeah its fine (which it isn't) and ignored it, OR are completely re-working major underlying weapon mechanics. But if it was the latter, all they would of needed to do is post "Hey guys, we don't like how the Pulse Lasers work, and we're redoing their firing mechanics. Expect another update later next month". THAT would be MORE than enough so we at least know what is taking months for them and are addressing the issue beyond what we can see in game.
We care about the game, hence why we are in such arms / being so vocal. I'd rather be yelling "Fix it! Fix it! Fix it! Fix it!" than say "screw it, let me go find another garbage game to occupy my time". There is also the big reality that if this game fails to take off successfully, there won't be anything MechWarrior after it.

Trying to help a child who has issues with weight by chiding it and calling it fat is not a healthy solution and people potentially would consider that bad parenting.
In fact, the idea of negative punishment is something that APA and other psychological groups frown upon (even timeout).
Positive reinforcement... finding the good, and praising it... tends to give slower but longer lasting rewards and without the negative cognitive aspects that arises from such treatment.
I care about the game. I care about it enough to run a clan, try to bring in new players, and to have played nearly 3k games through all of this and I do not share the negativity seen on these forums (of course, I'm busy fighting.)
