- I want a metagame. Something to work towards.

- Planetside 2.

I'm still hoping to see the map of the Inner Sphere and the Periphery. I'd like for there to be meaningful Merc Corps and Great Houses, contracts, a workable economy. "Interesting choices" to make. Something more than a ten minute brawl in one of the same four square miles.

(Edit: Just to be clear, I still think MWO's a great game with loads of potential. I'm just playing less until it fills out.)

Well first would be netcode
Second would be missiles. ECM is a bad bandaid. They need to fix the missile issue, then I'll come back full time

I play less for a few reasons.

1. Playing on the same tired 3-4 maps.

2. ECM and netcode bugs.

3. Lack of content and variety in game modes. You have deathmatch, and prolonged deathmatch.

4. The way the 8-mans are set up I find it alot easier to just pug around instead of playing with my team.

5. I've been playing mechwarrior/battletech games snice I was 12. And I love the franchise. I really had high hopes for this game, but everything is so slow in coming that it gets discouraging. kill stuff, respawn, kill stuff (or get killed), respawn. gets boring.

I stopped playing ages ago but still hop on for a match from time to time to see whats up.
Basically...the game was a lot more fun last July than it is now. Lights weren't teleporting for me, no ECM, no ****** night maps.
Also, I got tired of the overall graphics theme. I like WoT's bright graphics. I like to see things. I like Crysis' graphics. Why on Terra did they make the CryEngine3 into the dark, blurry/hazy mess that it is now? Makes situational awareness (coupled with ridiculous radar/ECM) very hard and just...not fun. So I don't play. I load up WoT instead.

The netcode, ecm and streaks I have adapted to, these things mainly just irritate me from time to time. I mostly don't like the economy since the last time it was tweaked. I feel locked into my current stable, and the trials don't really cycle frequently enough (among other things).

I have found new love for my hbk-4p, so hopefully I won't get bored with it again before I have enough to by something else, or heavily tweak what I have.

Lack of diversity.

The game has become a brawlfest, due to our current implementation of ECM. Battles are won by heavy hitting brawlers and ECM lagshield lights. You bring anything else and you're likely a detriment to the team. I no longer touch more than half of my mechs in the mechbay.

Couple of things that want me to play less:

1. No European servers

2. No Single Player

3. No Single Player Co-Op

4. No Multiplayer variations (4v4; 2v2; 16v16)

5. No "Blizzard Battlenet2" ingame alikes.

6. No voice comunication ig (minor, most of peoples in Planetside 2 are allso shame to use comunication)

7. No repair anymore ( strictly you guys aimed toward more players)

8. Trial mechs (especialy atlas clas, that was so frustrating, when we had 100 tons of pure n00bage in pugs game, against 4 player lance in enemy pugs team)

9. No ranking

10. No new maps

11. Only 4 slots for battlemechs for non premium (after selling dragoon, i need to rebuy it to upgrade)

12. Nothing actualy to buy for real money in my opinion (i will not buy paintjob, its useless to me, i will not buy c-bills or mechs or anything related, i can play with normal mech with same efficiency, and I will spend real money for single player co-op maps for shure)

13. Small maps (its probably to late when this is engine restriction)

I dont care about lags nor, light mechs. Got buddies, with they're lights to do the job better than me. I dont use MC, so there is much things to unlock for me. I dont have lag problem with me not hitting the target. Never noticed them i think.

Apart from having a now more mobile infant in the house the following keeps me from playing a whole lot.

-Lack of content (CW, maps)
-Patches make no sense. Forums light up with all sorts of feedback but next weeks patch has a hero mech, paints, and dingle balls to hang from your cockpit. Makes perfect sense
-0 communication from DEV team. Ok well maybe not 0 but in a time where Kim Kardashian can churn out elevendy billion tweets an hour I find it hard to believe PGI can't crank out some simple communication to a message board!
-ECM debacle. Jesus Raptor Christ! Just to state I have adapted to ECM but man is it in no way close to TT ECM which actually makes sense. Then the changes it spurred after with TAG and the game play fuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh boy it got real ghetto after ECM

Oh yeah and burnout general

The reason I play less...with work I can only play on the weekend or prime time us. Since I pug exclusively I find prime time far more frustrating than the weekend.

I drive a hbk and love the mech. It is a little disconcerting that when I see the enemy that if I see 2 atlases I'm saying 'charge' and when I see 2 lights I say 'flee'

S

Ps: waiting now for elo, hopefully that shakes things up.

The lagging and warping after the latest patch has made it impossible for me to play the game... I hope they fix this quick...

Metagame stagnation mostly. The combination of ECM and streaks makes my preferred role monotonous.

Lack of new maps.

Lack of new game modes (it's all just deathmatch now), 1 vs 1 or capture the flag, anything.

The other stuff I can live with, it is beta after all.

It's just getting a little stale. I went from playing every night, too every other night, too only on weekends.

I stopped playing because the current iteration of the game got boring fast, very fast. Lack of matchmaking, unbalanced ECM, broken netcoding only makes it less fun to play. So I stopped playing, my time is too valuable to waste on a game that isn't fun. I do stay on the forums to see if any good changes are being made or if the game is continuing to go in the wrong direction.

Last night I tried to play for a while, but the issue isn't balance or bugs for me, it's the STALE MAPS.

I just can't stand to play another game in Caustic, Forest or Frozen....Sick to death of those maps.

The real issue is the next two maps will most likely be the only two maps we get this year, considering how
slow they are at making maps. My guess is it's just ONE man making maps, and he's probably part time.

I hope the devs can begin rolling out new maps every month, but I know that's just not going to happen.

Puke.

There just isn't enough content to keep the game fresh for me. I play a couple of games then getting bored, usually after getting chased by a raven with streaks which is impossible to shake. I don't play my own raven 3L much anymore since it is just getting a little bit too easy.

I play every day.
I was getting bored before when I was just a PUGer, but since I've joined the 312th Black Tridents, I haven't been bored since. Try to find a group of people you can play with and talk to over team speak or whatever. Try new mechs, new builds, new play styles, have FUN.

Yeah, this game has its flaws... but its still fun as hell to play. During the ECM-Rage-Era, why don't you get some practice with some direct fire weapons?

I've been playing this almost every day since closed beta. I dislike how ECM works right now, and I also get frustrated with the lag shield when fighting 100kph+ mechs. But these things have been improving. Just adapt the best you can, and if you're still frustrated, take a break. Come back in a month and see whats changed.

There is no need to lower the morale of everyone else that loves this game. Theres enough of that.

I agree with the not enough content. Especially maps and game modes. I just got bored doing the same thing, in the same mech, on the same map, over and over for 6 minutes at a time.

When I do play, I don't really feel like coming back for a while because it just feels so lopsided in a lot of ways. Either it's lopsided win/loss where one team dominates the other. Or it's a lopsided team makeup with everyone running the same mech or same loadout. Or it's a lopsided something else. I don't know, there's just not enough to it to keep coming back for mediocre fun.

I've gotten used to the bugs. Mostly it's because the appeal of any "new" game has reached it's peak. Rather then becoming completely burned out on it I've spread my time among other games to avoid just becoming entirely "fed up" or "bored" with the project. While the game does have several outstanding critical issues that effect play, it's still giant stompy killer robots, and a personal addiction of mine. I've been at this since Beta started, so for me at least, a lot of the game is just not as "new" as it once was.
