couldn't agree more, the threat of a cap adds to battlefield awearness and stratgys to play out, death match will just enforce the blob vs blob factor that's made the game stale. also people who can't defend a base deserves everything they get and the team who out foxes them with such a simple move deserves the xp they need to level up to the dominant min/maxers ASSP. double xp weekend should be a warning, defence will be the key stratagy, you have been warned cap whingers.

Here's my opinion on the quick cap. Yes, very annoying. But it needs to SOMETIMES happen in order to keep the fear of it alive so that you are forced to think about it in your strategy. Does it happen too often? Yeah probably. But in my opinion it's still better than taking it out of the game completely. Keep the fear alive baby.

As much as i hate it when we shredded through the opposing team - see the Base capture and know we won´t get back in time to stop the cap

It was our one-sided offensive approach which made it possible in the first place thus a tactical mistake.

i've suffered in a similar fashion of open wins being refused by idiots. all your team earnings suffer for the loss, those who worked hard for their points had them denied by the selfish scum.

as much as i hate to say it the sooner we get TDM for those people who just want a boxing ring shooting gallery out of the objectives gameplay the better.

Both Spiders.

It took a full 15 minutes, and the tie was to a totally disarmed Stalker trying to cap.. but when the rest of our side had wandered off and got themselves dead, those 2 guys went and killed the remaining 5 mechs, a Cataphract, 2 Stalkers, an Atlas and a pair of Ravens.  If I recall correctly neither had the benefit of ECM either.
I remember that match, it was a great game, and the end really showed how Spiders can shine.

Cap to break the enemy force, make the annoying ravens come shoot me and leave my team. If they don't come easy win for me.

...because use only one tactics - stay together + concentrate fire
