Why players instantly go to their favorite places to die 'alone' in PUGs remains a total mystery.

Yeah, that's a good way to sum it up.
As an exclusive pug, I was totally conflicted the whole time reading it because it commiserates with pugs and insults them at the same time. I kept thinking "Yeah, amen to that brother. Wait. What?"
Nice post OP. Hysterical.

proberbly like it if i took the time
i haven't many problems with premades so long as they're not abusing obvious game flaws but most of the time i can't tell them from puggers if they're as rampant as everyone says they are.
someone made a post yesterday that if anything the premades are offereing a challenge pugs should learn from, sticking to team mates was something i had to learn because no mechwarriors of the past relied upon it as this one. so with the spills taken you learn how it happens and correct yourself, you pick up technique eventually.

that's a good idea just add a very grumpy vet with a beer filled beard and cigar in his mouth as the "instructor" telling you this and i reckon everyone will take more heed to some of the fair advice the op has even when it's covered in humor. much better than some stuff i've seen{haven't seen yet} in training grounds.

As long as average player skill increases, it will be worth it.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure he's already on his way.
@OP: Hilarious post, may have to come back to read it again next time a puggie teammate in an assault mech tells me that he abandoned the rest of the team to go cap because "this way I get to live".

1. use Pugs as Cannonfodder so you can reap it up
2. don't be afraid to use them as diversions
3. they mean nothing and as long as you come out alive in the end it's worth it
4. they suck, and they deserve it.
Gotcha'
