I second that. I was following the cracking DDC Atlas out in the open and we were being pestered by a 3L. He turned the ECM into disrupt mode, and I see the missile warning. I turned in time to see a cloud of LRMs heading at me and lock ok n the Stalker that launched them. I barely thought "Oh, s..." And I was cored.

Twin PPCs on a Raven is fantastic - I threw them on a 3L. So it had ECM, and a pair of PPCs in one arm that always hit the exact same spot, every time.

My other Raven build is the AC/20 Raven. A more brutal hit and run mech is hard to find.

I know that Prosperity Park's enjoys a quad PPC HBK-4P.

The 6 PPC stalker is a favorite of many snipers as well.

Tested in a PUG run on Caustic where we were outmaned from the start by 2 and STILL managed to almost win it. Got away with 2 kills and 3 assists before falling. I tested what would happen if I'd Alpha when above 75% heat. I overheated for what felt like... A WHOLE MINUTE.

you should remove 1 std heat sink so you can put in endo steel so it will go faster with a bigger engine and have more armor (wont help having 10 rounds per guass though XD)

You can't - you've got to have a minimum of 10 heat sinks to launch. Still, you could always shave off yet another ton of armor...

Though, speaking of hero mechs, how about some ranged combat?

it will still work, you take off 1 std heat sink, then put in endo, allowing you to put in a BIGGER engine with more heat sinks then the previous, and also leaving some room for more armor

think something like this (actually took off 2 hs, added bigger engine and more armor, can also reduce armor (still would be higher then originally) and add more ammo)

Maybe, but with a build like that who needs armor? You can cook yourself alive long before the enemy can get a shot in.

Also, if the Jager or K2 are beyond your budget, you can still have plenty of autocannon firepower in a smaller package.

If you like 54 point alphas, and you like surgical striking, and if you like playing with HBK-4P's, you should try my build (I actually run this commonly):

HBK-4P
9 Medium Pulse Lasers
XL260
Endo
16 DHS total
HE: .97

You do 54 points in less time than 5 LL, also with 9x3=27 crit chances. Did I mention going 92 KPH with tweak?
