Just looking for the devs to get some love for this latest patch. Anyone have anything positive to voice concerning the latest additions? I haven't tried out the spider, personally. I didn't see any equipped with ECM... seemed like it could be renamed "Clay Pigeon" without it. Please, someone with a positive experience, fill us all in!

Hows that new camo scheme working out for you? Did you try the winter color options like what was suggested? I've not had the chance to play around with it in the mechlab... bet it looks sweet, though.

Thanks, PGI, for continueing to improve this game that we all have such great hopes for!

It's given me a whole load of little mechs with no armour that hover in front of my lasers to shoot at.

Thumbs up.

Well, I'm not so impressed that the audio crackle and stutter has returned as strong as never before. The new mech I kinda like, because it's the first light that actually feels right. And I'm saying this without owning one, but I played against them.

It is nimble and fast, hard to hit and even hard to detect via thermal view. But if hit hard it dies rather easy and it doesn't have the firepower of a medium mech like many of the other lights.

I see that Spider pilots have fun whilst not playing a mini-assault and I think this is a sign that lights don't need to be as strong as they currently are, with the Raven 3L for instance. They have enough benefits, like speed, agility, low profile. If they take the Spider as the best example of a light done right they should transfer that over to the other mechs when they do balancing in the future. Less firepower, make them a bit smaller to compensate. :P

Any other things? Not much has changed, or has it? I'm still having fun with the game, especially since I found the perfect solution when three lagshield ecm Commandos and / or Ravens are circling me: I shut down and watch the show. What else is there to do?

Well apart from some bugged audio it did not get worse. I guess that is positive?

personally not paying for paints on mechs till they work like cockpit items, by one equip to one mech at a time. spider would be fun with bigger maps, ECM needs to be adjusted still. Audio is rather annoying too.

To me the Patch did not change much, performance is the same, stability maybe a bit up but that still needs more proof, i dont buy Camos until the "Grey Mech" bug is not fixed, we have a new Mech i do not bother to play atm but it looks good, i had no problem with the heat management anyway.

This does not mean i feel disapointed - i am glad the game makes some progress though this time it contains nothing that excites me beyond that.

:P

No; many more yellow and black screens, many more lights exploiting lagshield, about the same on CTD, if they fixed anything I haven't seen it.

Honestly, the last 3 or 4 patches I could have done without.

Nothing really changed much... except for the fact that I now have some weird bug that doesn't let me spend my GXP on Pilot Tree Skills anymore. Maybe by the next patch that will work again. :P

I don't feel my experience has improved since the ECM patch to be honest. The problems highlighted by that patch have persisted ever since.

Sincerely, I don't see any positive in this new patch... Are spiders a positive? I don't think its good news for light pilots either...

I like the new modules.

After the the patch for the first time ever the number of module slots available on a mech chassis became a (albeit small) factor in my decision making on what mech to select.

prior to the patch i pretty much dropped in whatever module was currently not equipped and/or ran with empty module slots

It's awesome.

I haven't had a crash to desktop in weeks. No yellow screens, no messed up mini map, no lag teleporting ECM Ravens, everything I've shot at in the past weeks haven't been affected by net code lag, no more terrible pug teams or 4 fps bug either. I give it 6 thumbs up. Everything is right in the world.

Oh, did I neglect to mention I still haven't bothered to download the patch or log onto MWO ? Jump jets are still broken. Big energy weapons are still unusable, no matchmaking, no lobby, no CW, no netcode fixes, and ECM is still 3+ wonder devices rolled into 1 so I saw no reason to even try the patch. It is much less frustrating this way however.

Their passes over the maps have been netting me higher FPS, and this patch was yet another small improvement in that.

Happy to have higher than ~10fps finally!

Last match I was in there was this Raven with so much lag I don't think I ever did hit him. Even raking my lasers across and 5 mech-lengths ahead of him produced no damage. I don't think anyone damaged him the whole match, but he sure was racking up kills.

Sorry for the bad side, but just reporting beta test results. Overall I seem to be missing alot even though my aim is good.

Haven't played this in a while but I went and did a few matches today since it's double exp weekend.

What I've noticed is that the game seem to be running smoother than it used to, that's a plus! You're going the right way PGI, keep at it!

What I don't like is the ECM. Not being able to see what the hell is going on and tell which is friend from foe is highly annoying. :L

I also don't really like the female voice giving you info. She sounds so.. stiff? Is that the right word.. *ponders* Not serious? Too slow? Something like that.

Otherwise, it's pretty enjoyable!
