The lights are either too small or the shades of yellow/orange and green aren't distinguished enough from each other. I always have to take a second look to figure out if they're open or closed. Please consider changing.

It would be great if we had a little box that would light up with DOOR OPEN in bold like the ON AIR signs.

I'll add in what I'm talking about to a cockpit screenshot when I get home.

Yeah, would be good. It also seems harder to see which colour the lights are on with maps such as Caustic Valley.

And forget about checking them when you have Night Vision on, you cant even tell the difference there.

can't tell the difference between the light green and greenish yellow. I press / at the start of the match then forget about it because i can't tell which is which.

It should be quite obvious to a player who hasnt used the bay doors before that they have toggled it. currently for players who DO know where it is, they still can't tell half the time.

I'm not sure if something this size will work at the standard fov, but here is an idea for the placement.

Also a good request -- Make our shadow reflect whether or not our missile bay doors are open.

My honest recommendation is to make it an obvious part of the HUD, like "OPEN" next to the relevant missile rack on the weapon list... Because right now having the lights on the 'mech's cabin pillars renders them useless in enhanced vision modes.

Agreed...either brighter, or an opened or closed sign...

Being completely clueless on the topic, I'd like to ask...what's the difference between having the missile bay doors open or closed?

Pretty straightforward - not sure why it was originally so cryptic and buried.

From what i remember, having the doors closed gives additional 10% protection to the area, at the cost of having a half second delay when firing missiles as the doors have to open first. The doors stay open as long as you keep firing missiles inside the pod, but they automatically close after a few seconds of non firing. You also lose the 10% protection as long as the doors are open.

The manual toggle keeps the doors open regardless of you firing missiles or not. Not all missile mechs have doors. Cats and Cents are the only ones that i know that have these doors. I'm sure there are others (not Atlassessess tho).

Closed - When you fire there will be a slight delay as the doors swing open. The section of the mech also has a slight defense bonus as the armored doors protect the section.

Open - No delay in firing. The section takes extra damage from incoming fire.
