"Your mech is still ingame" after the match ended...

Sliding slopes are also very annoying, the ones that look perfectly passable, but end up rocketing your mech towards the side

I think the 'still in game thing has to do with the match still being in progress. For some reason the stats page at the end (and the timer for that) are still considered 'in game'. So until the timer ends you dont get your mech released. It is annoying though.

The ability to put ammo in legs. Suspension of disbelief has been exceeded with this one.

The only thing that should be put in legs are heatsinks.

AND heat should dissipate better if you have heatsinks in the legs and the legs are submerged. Also, heatsinks in the extremities should dissipate heat faster than heatsinks in the torsos.

One quick note on this, in BT the hip is considered part of the leg, in fact I believe there are a couple of mechs with lasers in the leg (which is a hip mounted weapons.

Having to pay MC each time a 'mech gets a new paint job. You really should be able to unlock colors or patterns for all your 'mech if you purchase them , IMHO.

Also, if you're buying a Hero 'mech , shouldn't you get the Mech Bay for free? (I have yet to purchase a Hero 'mech, so I don't know if this is still an issue. )

Cheers.

My pet peave are those unweildy "ok" boxes that pop up whenever you do anything.

Friend invite sent: ok...
group created: ok...
failed to invite: ok...
Are you sure you want to leave loadout and lose all your work? (Despite the fact that you haven't done anything)... ok

these OK boxes are often disruptive and largely meaningless. Why not just have some floating text instead? Why do I have to acknowledge every little event by scrolling down and clicking ok?

Hurting your legs when you run fast over even sligthly bumpy terrain. It makes playing the Spider a lot harder, because you already end up taking some damage at times when you don't, or can't, flutter you jump jets. Makes it a lot harder to survive getting hit in the legs.

My pet peeve is people who mean "lose" but type "loose"...

Or even worse... People who use the saying, "You can't have you have your cake and eat it too..."
That is incorrect. You can very easily have a cake, and eat it...
The correct saying is, "You can't eat your cake, and have it too..."
See the difference there? If you ate the cake, you couldn't still have it to look at and enjoy visually.

As far as MWO is concerned, the lagshielded light mechs taking over the game have made it impossible for me to get motivated to even log into the game since before Christmas. I'm waiting for the coming netcode fixes before I give MWO another go.

Mechlab (ruins the game imo)
Catapult-K2 (Devs have no intention of fixing it - The heat system, ballistics, or the stupidly huge head hitbox)

If one could place DHS into legs i would agree. As it is, just more risk for ammo in legs would be nice..like ammo in legs means if 1 leg is destroyed your other leg instantly blows out too due to ammo explosion.

People who keep telling us canon, lore, fluff, etc doesn't matter, just make it a cool gundam shooter bro.

Believe it or not.. many of us play Mechwarrior....

TO

PLAY

MECHWARRIOR!

there are plenty of generic roboshooters for those who can't quite figure that one out.

People that cling to a pen and paper adaptation the doesn't work in a realtime video game.

That knife cuts both ways.

I've started to get annoyed when people write "gg" when they've won. Maybe it's from my limited time playing starcraft, but isn't that just salt in the wound?

Actually... it doesn't.

You see, when people go play Star Wars games.. the expect to play... *gasp* Star Wars. Star Trek games? You guessed it... Star Trek. Madden 2013? Football. And the list goes on.

When a person plays a Mechwarrior title, is should be with the expectation to play... Mechwarrior?

Yet person after person comes one here and start whining that this game needs to be dumbed down to CoD type play. Except that game already exists.... it's called Hawken. If that is the style of play you enjoy, by all means, have at it. But stop coming onto longtime IPs, and demanding every game become generic, neutered "Stompy Robots 4 Dummies" titles.

Not really that big of a stretch.

The differences between Jedi Academy and KOTOR are about as much as the difference between TT and MWO. Those don't really translate well, either. Seraph has a point.

The high prices. I have to spend $30 to get enough to buy a Flame...and this is Beta??

I understand that the company needs to make money, but I would buy much more if it was nickel and diming rather than a good chunk of cash required for much of anything.

Camo, paints, hero mechs..hell..even cockpit items...are all over-priced in my opinion, so I just refuse to buy them. Halve the prices and I would probably buy quite a few as I went along.

And if most of us were actually asking for literal TT to Video conversion, yes he might (and yes, there are a few slow witted souls who can't figure out that it doesn't work). What we do ask is that what has not been brok in 4 previous titles, not be "fixed" to further dumb down a game.

Essentially all live fire MW titles have had differing RoF for instance than the once every 10 seconds of TT. Smart people get that has to change. And peripherals to that mechanic, such as heat will change with it. Yets 4 previous live action shooters managed to do jsut that without totally butchering everything else in the game, or telling us that hey, we don't care about fluff or TT.. since without either, this game would not exist, nor have such an impassioned fan base.

I'd also point out that the differences in Jedi Academy and Kotor actually made for a DEEPER and more immersive game, whereas the twitch shooter crowd keeps clamoring to make this one more simplistic (omg... how do I make my legs and torso got the same direction! THis is so hard I NEED 3rdP to do it!)

Alright. It was just that most of the posts I see that claim that the game is "being dumbed down" are in fact calling for mostly TT standards.

Personally, good balance>TT. Unfortunately, the few who easily get the forum riled up say anything>TT. Sometimes, I wish this were a proper discussion forum...Even the SupCom2 forums were better than this.

That theres no way to bulk sell some of the crap you collect after buying several mechs.

Last week i bought a K2,thought maybe i should clear some of the rubbish out of the mechlab,i had 158 single heatsinks,i had to sell each 1 seperately.........that was a tad annoying!

Oh, God, this.

Do you realize how many people scream "That's not canon!" or throw a QQ fit when it isn't exactly the same as TT... I mean, look at all the outcry over DHS not being double, or LRMs getting increased damage for example.

Imagine trying to aim such things. They would need a separate stabilization system to be able to track with your reticle.,There has been a lot of free rein allowed in mech design since after the clans were first introduced in BT - there should be some sense made. Now, crotch mounted lasers - I could buy that.

Macross/Robotech Valkyries (VF-1 series) had add-on armor that included missile packs - I could buy that too.

I would like a lot better weapon and component descriptions in the mechlab. The description should show the tonnage, slots, damage, heat, reload/recharge time, the impulse, range (effective and max), any additional effects of the weapon (like heat generated for the flamer), and even compound stats like DPS and HPS. Electonic components should have clear descriptions on exactly what they do and heat sinks should list how much heat they counter.
