My pet peeve is the stupidest and silliest thing in the world. When you fire a laser, the glow from the beam doesn't illuminate things near it. Whatever you hit gets illuminated, but the hundred meters between you and the target is dark. This is very unsettling and ugly to see on night maps.

Team mates shooting each other at the start of a match. Seriously there's no reason for you to fire when you can't see an enemy mech, so stop doing it!

Or team mates who walk in front of you when you're firing at the enemy and you end up killing them, costing you c-bills for their stupidity.

Only being able to see 6 out of my 13 mech bays in the mech lab and the fact that I cant reorder my mechlab yet. I know it is not a big deal but it is very frustrating sometimes.

The profanity filter on this board... it is wayyyyy to high, making it actually look like you are saying something much worse you actually meant. I mean why dont you **** in the **** for **** sakes with the ****.


Ironically SirShitMonkey makes it through, infuckingfact, all kinds of compounded words do.

I never noticed that before. Now I will notice it every time.


And guys, this is supposed to be pet peeves, not a discussion of TT vs video games.

Launching with a pug that has no ecm, while the other team has plenty of lrm boats and ecm.

It's mostly freezing mechlab (though doesn't happen much lately, I think... not sure) and having to restart the client every 3 games. It's annoying but I get around it. :)

Like how Dota 2 does it with their lobby. It would be nice and even more awesome with caster and observer mode, but that might be too hard to do right now. An alternative to lobbies would simply add a temporary variable and database number when you create a team then you can challenge another team by entering their team name or team number. The costs mentioned above could be included here. If the Devs are worried about server space, then they can limit it to 8-man for the time being and it wouldn't make any difference from the current 8v8 random pug matches or the 8v8 premade queues in terms of server resources.

A lack of collision.

Team mates walking through me to fill my screen with their back just as I'm lining up a shot on an enemy.

Enemies running through me when I'm in a slow mech that now has to 180 just to see it happen again.

The need to restart MWO every 3 games to avoid getting 1fps or less is right up there

My pet peeve is spectating people. I always end up spectating an Assault mech that allowed his whole team to die while he fired his two LRM5s the whole match. Then the time of reckoning comes and he gets absolutely hate crimed by the whole enemy team. I enjoy that part though.

Entire teams that go cave in the frozen map.

The one 3L that tries to cap when an awesome fight is going on in a fun area of the map when the score is 1-1. If even your own team yells at your for capping, maybe consider joining the rest of us and having some fun.

-Constant statements that this and that has totally ruined the game, i.e. ECM ruined game, SSRM ruined game and on and on.

-Players who choose to post as if they speak for us all rather than themselves. Example "Speaking for the mechwarrior community", half the time I think some of these players have some kind of animal in thier pocket or possibly in their Jockey shorts.

I haven't posted for some time so here is my two cents worth of opinion. Good day mechwarriors, fight well.

Constant crying about people crying. It's annoying and does nothing to stop it. Crying about those who cry doesn't stop the crying. It's just crying.

AMS placement on the commando. It sits on the front right torso. If any missile fire crosses your left and front arcs the muzzle flash from the AMS will blind you.

Delayed fire on my projectile weapons...makes hitting something moving just as fast or faster than a stock CN9-D trouble for me with missiles and ballistics (except when using SSRMS). I know they're working on that, but it's still annoying.

I also now have a red-orange sky on Frozen City Night Map and that's been bugging me.

The amount of crying and blowing things WAAAYYY out of proportion.

Oh, the fact that you must have 10 heatsinks, double or no, to launch. That ruined my build for my CN9-A that I wanted to try out...and my heat efficiency was rated at like 1.52 or something. Now I will never overheat in that thing with the modifications I had to make to get something similar to my idea. Being forced to add that one extra double heat sink really pissed me off at the time.
