I've playing MWO for a while now but have not really participated in the forums all that much until to date.
I have a suggestion for a new game mode: Base Assault/Defend.
This is essentially an attack/defend style game mode where one side is assaulting and the other side is defending. The objective would be to actually destroy in-world targets. So for example, the defending side would have to defend 3 objectives:
a) a Dropship

c) Mechwarrior Barracks
Or some other variation. eg. refinery, fuel tanks, air field, HPG dish, etc.
The targets will obviously have 'health' and would require some effort to destroy. I feel that introducing a gametype like this provides an increased level of complexity that would require greater amounts of teamwork and communication.
This could make for some interesting battles and give coordinated teams a much richer experience.
I know that currently the environment cannot be destroyed/deformed, but perhaps this could be a viable option for the near future?
I'm envisioning MW3 style missions with lances running for objectives while commanders on both sides try to do the coordination and provide real-time intel.
This game has so much potential still in store for all of us. I'd like your inputs/comments/feedback!
