So having played Mechwarrior for at least 2 months (dates are at best hazy) i thought you know what, the hell with punctuation, no wait that wasn't my thought at all. My thought was this I'm going to compile a list of features I'd love to see in MWO. This may not tally with what you want to see but please feel free to say what you think would be great:

1. Bigger Maps: This is a simple one, i think that atm MWO is a wee bit too fast. Some slightly larger maps would offset this nicely

2. Repair Costs: This may seem Counter intuitive but if you own your own mech that bad boy should be your baby. As it stands I'm currently running my Yen Lo wang into combat to hoard XP and cash with nary a care to its well being... HUH??? taking your own mech should be a risk with one hell of a pay off at the other end if you win. Lose however.... . Ammo costs i can live without but this is a MUST, you have the trial mechs to rescue your finances this isn't the end of the world, but screw up with your Atlas? It's going to cost you.

3. More Game Modes: this one is a given on hopes so i'm going to just move swiftly on (I'm messing with you I can turn even this into an extremely long point)

4. More Clarity in fitting: At the moment I use 3rd part websites to gain a clearer understanding of what i fit (apparently my candy floss machine does less damage than my SRM 6's who knew?). I need to be able to compare new weapons to my current so i can see HOW my plan to replace my Atlas's legs with flippers is going to affect it.

5. An Avatar: Being able to customise your pilot would count for a lot with me, obviously we have the skills etc but a picture a battle log etc (this to be fair is minor but for immersion rocks).

6. A leaderboard!: the exclamation mark held me down and beat me til i included it. However both global and friend based leaderboards would help immensely. Being able to point out to your friend that you out murder him this month would make me smile (I'm a sadistic gob-*****)

7. Stats: Now this works with the above quite handily... so... just do it! How many Atlases have i killed? how many components now look forlornly at their previous owners as a result of my actions?

8. A Purpose (or indeed a porpoise): Teams dammit, Clan vs. Clan Inner Sphere V.S. Clan Forces.... Why the hell am i fighting? (aside from the opportunity to hire a porpoise and to stomp around in a bloody great mech) Am i beating my rivals from the box of Stinkweed clan? If so how much by... you know what this a leaderboard thing again.

This scratches the surface of what i think and I'm sure I'll come up with more as time and porpoises go bye. Please for the love of god add your suggestions so i don't look mental.

Repair costs, when they were in, led to several issues.
I won't expound on them all, but suffice to say that Repair Costs are something that needs quite a bit of thought put into it before re-implementation.

The rest of the stuff, I think is all on the road map for content to be added (even a fixed repair/rearm system).

Outstanding, is there anything else you'd like to see off of the roadmap OMA?

- mandatory reconnect feature to the currently running match (as long as it´s going)

- mechbay gets locked while one mech is in a match

Good post! I agree with everything u said except the avatar thing: if they will implement pilot customization it will certainly be MC only and i wont spend any money on that.
Bigger maps are a must if they want to include a 12 v 12 gamemode, as the current ones (except caustic valley) are too small for even 8 v 8. I would also like a prematch lobby and would like to know the map before the actual fight (LRM's are currently useless on river city as there is too much cover).
This should be added to the stats bulletpoint : they should add assignments or medals/ribbons like in BF 3 : i would like to get a virtual/fake medal for headshotting 10 mechs or blowing up mechs via ammo explosions .

-Larger maps!!
-More people per team, still limit the grouping to 4, MAX!
-Easy communication (not talking voip) Hotkeys with preset messages.
-Mechbay general chat and LFG channels or the like.
-Repair costs again!

I do not agree with the mechbay lock, sometimes you just don't want to wit and wait for the match to finish.
But as everyone thinks this is the only solution to droppers... why not make it really unprofitable?
I mean, if you have repaircosts, a drop at the start and a destroyed mech should not give you cash, at the tops a very very very small ammount so it would not be any meaning to do it.

Those are some very important features imo.
There have been other thoughts to but I don't remember them all now. :)

- a fixed and constant "maintenance cost" depending on your mech and its loadout that you have to pay regardless of win/loss/survival/death/damage recieved.

This is a great idea (never thought of this) . The maintenance cost could depend on the tonnage of your mech and be applied per match regardless if u die or not. For example pay 20000 for an atlas, 16000 for an Awesome , 7000 for a Jenner, etc.

I was rather thinking of a sort of "tax" based on the base chassis + loadout cost, including ammo, armor and modules.
it would be high enough to matter, but low enough to not encourage ppl to drop with completly naked mechs.
