when you can relay info back to your surviving team.

grinding, money, etc. yadda yadda.

increase your chance of winning by trying to get info back to your team. you can let others know who is under fire where in ecm bubble. you can tell your team whos red core or not. there is alot you can do if you stay after death.

where did you die? and by what means... let your team know.

this is going to get moved isnt it :)

meh, as long as they're not running 2-4 man teams, actually helping post-mortem is just a waste of time and effort.

lock the mechbay, reconnect to matches. more realistic game, no extreme farming, no match hopping, no suiciding, more strategic matches, nobody wants to die early :)

Yes, but then you have to sit and yawn for about ten minutes when you die early. Not an ideal solution.

yeh, it will force people to play more smart then just grind. people will actually try to think instead of just go.

premades make use of it in 3rd person viop. i dont see why you shouldnt try lvl the playing field. i dont think telling someone on your team that which enemy has red core is waste of time. being told someone is out of ammo or only has ppc and not erppc.
i personally would love to know where did you die under ecm cover. you know those scouts that run solo and just die in 2 hits and you have no clue where or how or why? just telling me where you died and then dc-ing is better then just dc.

3 words, died at ???
then dc. its simple and helpful.

Why bother trying to coach some random noobs? If I'm dead, it usually means we lost the match.

Preventing players from disconnecting from a match (especially a pub match) after they are dead, punishing them for doing so or keeping them from just moving onto another round is one the best ways to ensure your players hate your game, leave in droves and tell all their friends and colleagues to stay the hell away.

It is hands down one of the worst ideas on this forum and I am appalled that it continues to reappear week after week. Anybody who approves of it ought to be ashamed of themselves.

I find it Nice when people are helping especialy of the situation is dire. On more than one occation it has meant the difference on Winning or loosing. Tho it depend a lot on how good the helping player is :)

Oh sure because it´s awwww so awful to reflect over why you did die so early (I´d suggest stop suiciding or ramboing) and you now have to watch and learn from the players that didn´t make a mistake.

It´s also inacceptable for you to get a drink, hug your wife, make a coffee/tea while the team YOU CHOSE to play with finishes the match ?

Match hopping doesn´t fit into a Battletech game, my opinion. but i´m not alone. this would fix alot of unpleasant things :)

if you died first way ahead of everyone for no reason (out of position but cant admit it) your the noob that needs to help everyone else.

so games like counter strike that need everyone to wait for the match to end is bad? allowed to dc or not allowed, i dont care. the post is about helping your team (if your such a team player) before you dc.

Over 500 games I've played (after open beta). Guess how often I quit after being shot? Zero.

I guess this is another indicator if people play this for fun and for the love of BattleTech and MechWarrior...or just for the winzzz. :)

(I said "indicator" and "another", so please think before you write. ^^)

its never easy but it defiantly helps. iv had a few games myself where someone told me who was really damaged and i focused them, allowing me to basically 3v1.

i use to play alot of team oriented sports. iv always found communication and team work the best resource. im not as fit, tall, athletic etc but i can still beat you as a team. maybe its just how some of us see the game?
if mwo didnt allow dead people to speak to living then i wouldnt bring this up but they have and i see it as a opportunity. tbh even if i dont help, watching the game unfold is pretty cool.

Or rat out some ********** on your own team to end the match so you can see your score :)

EDIT: It's always lights. Always.

If I'm on voice that's ok and I used to swap from view to view to target people in but 99% of the time nowadays I get bugged and can't chat. Most irritating bug in game for me. -_-

Have you tried pressing Esc, return to the game, then try chatting? Seems to work for me unless you're talking about another bug.

Uhh, because I play the game for fun. Driving giant robots around killing stuff is fun. Spectating mouth-breathers and being ignored when I tell them what to do is not. Unless PGI plans to start paying me to be a forced spectator, the proposed change would drive me right out of the game, and really not many changes would do that considering my relationship with the Battletech IP.

Because that's how we help them become better players? And by them, I mean me  I usually hang around to study loadouts and tactics, especially if I'm in the cockpit of what appears to be a skilled pilot. If I'm in a newbie's cockpit, I just try to give advice on weapon ranges. IE the fire lrms/ppcs at point blank range crowd or the file med lasers from across the map crowd.
