Depending on who you ask, they may be a crutch or a way to avoid repetitive motion disorders.

Here's a person with an email from PGI saying autohotkey use is not a hack. So sorry truthstar!

I find it pretty pathetic for people to find workarounds to improve their **** skill. The UAC5 macro completely goes against how the weapon was coded. Just ask PGI to take away jamming if your hand/brain coordination is so inferior.

PGI don't care if people use the autohotkey script. If PGI say "Hey, stop using the autohotkey script" then people will probably stop using the autohotkey script. If people like your good self keep yelling "Stop playing the game different to how I play the game" no one will do anything. Hope this helps.

On the contrary, dude, the macro goes hand-in-hand with how the weapon was coded. You can get really good RoF if you want to risk jamming, or you can settle for "pretty alright" RoF.
Your problem is, you're trying to argue "intent", and the only evidence we have of "intent" is one of the actual dev's coming in here and saying that it's totally fine.

Aren't you a Goon? Go back to your goon-handicap play...you obviously need it.

Hahaha. I hate UAC/5s and I don't even have AHK installed. I just find your constant anti-goon ranting hilarious. Posting in any thread you're in is gold, man.

Hide behind the Devs all you want; you still are using a crutch.

We need our SQUAWK macros to be able to win! It's a FACT! Seriously guys even the config.files allow for the some of the stuff possible with AHK and EVERY gaming mouse/keyboard allows you to set up macros. It ain't rocket science, if the Artemis Controller comes out, do you believe it will have no marco functionallity? Seriously?
