How about K2 variant has it's ballistic hardpoints moved to CT. Then release a Hero K2 with Ballistic hard points in arms.

Keep everyone happy surely?

Why? because people can still have their cheese builds but with hardpoints in more vulnerable locations.....the same vulnerable locations that all other chassis have to contend with?

Sure...as soon as all other chassis have to accept a Center Torso that takes 90 percent of the hits on the mech like the Catapult does. Oh, and as soon as all other chassis have to give up arm transverse movement like the Catapult does. And, um, how about making all other chassis have their cockpits dead center of the mech, so they can be easy to decapitate? Er, oh...yeah. How about all other chassis also have all but one of their selectable weapons in each class removed from the game?

Yeah....the same vunerable locations all other chassis have to deal with. Riiiiight. The Catapult doesn't have nearly as many problems as other mechs. Riiiight.

awesome, cataphract and stalker all suffer from this so called CT issue you speak of. factor in people's tendency to aim for CT only, that does make all mechs. catapult head hit box has been reduced and is not the issue you make it out to be.

this also isn't about removing one of its selectable weapons. it'll just be moved to the k2 arms and called a hero mech....wait, it'll still be the only mech able to sport 2 x AC 20.....hmmm...hold on.....ACs and gauss in the arms....doesn't this also mean you can snipe over objects without exposing your oh so vulnerable CT/cockpit while also gaining some of the arm mobility?

Your post seems to assume that the cat is an underdog, popularity and cheese builds suggest otherwise.

knee jerk response is just that....

Ok, my topic seems to have been derailed some, Maybe I should clarify what my intention was with my first post.

My intention was to ask if there were going to be any hero mechs that were LRM based, I choose the Catapult as it is currently the most LRM heavy mech currently ingame.

If there are any intentions to introduce a LRM type hero mech was what I was trying to ask.....

So after useless commando hero you want useless awesome hero? No thanks. It has to be Stalker, or possibly Atlas but I fear the Atlas might be OP.

*Madden Voice* Now here's a guy who's bad at the game
