I have post the link here for this suggestion since my OP is in the Fan Art area. But since the Dev's have indicated that they are open to this idea from the Ask the Dev's 29A here it is.
I'm still looking for a good paint/cammo for it along with finishing out/fine tuning the load out so feel free to suggest away and with any luck maybe this could be the first community suggested Hero Mech to hit MWO.
Thanks!

There it is.

I think they are too scared to make something like this. I don't blame them either :P

Well, it would be 7500MC anyway.
so um... around 40 bucks?

I would actually love to see this happen, so i know whenever i see someone running around in it that this guy is a dumbass and/or just has to much money laying around.

I don't think we will ever going to see an assault mech with 2 ballistic hp in different mech parts ... so yeah ... OP (like a LOT). I would rather see an Atles with 1x missile and 1x energy hp in all parts (except center torso) ... that would be fun ;)

Nice. Best Hero mech design I've seen. I would pilot this over the D-DC. The laser hardpoints, may need to be toned down. But other that, awesome design.

Why not? We already have the Catapult and Cataphract, both with dual ballistics in different mech parts. Should they be better armed than an Assault? Currently my D-DC has an alpha of 75dmg (3xSRM6, 2mlasers, AC20). This particular chassis would more than likely have less, at around 70, due to the lack of missile hard points (2x AC20, 6 mlasers). I'd say it's pretty balanced; perhaps drop the 2 CT laser hardpoints.

i think you MIGHT be able to get away with 2x ballistic and 6 energy. maybe. 2 in center torso helps balance it a bit. as others have said there would be a lot of complaining that's for sure.

He has no ECM nor access to SSRM2. I doubt there would be much complaining.

I like the idea, but it does pose some issues. I was toying around in it in the mech lab (using other various combinations of weapons to get the same tonnage/crit consumption as other various weapons like gauss) and it does have some very intimidating builds.

Having said that, the thing makes me salivate at the thought of playing with it...mother of god.

If you go down to Medium lasers from Large lasers, it becomes easy to fit the largest weapons on the mech with no problem. I made a dual gauss build and was able to fit 8 tons of ammo, near max armor (shaved off legs), case, AMS, and 3 medium lasers

AC20 works out similarly.

You guys keep forgetting that the two energy points in the center is only 2 slots big. So you can put 1 Large laser or 2 Med or Smalls. So at most you could pack 5 large lasers but if your using large AC's in the side torsos you won't have the DHS's to keep the mech cool at all. Example: x2AC20's, x2LL, x2ML with Endo & DHS's will only let you take 16 DHS. You would have to drop 2 more DHS to fit x4LL's taking you to 14 DHS which is going to be way too hot. So even with 6 energy slots and 4 Ballistic slots it will in no way be OP since you just plain run out of crit slots to either carry the ammo your going to need or DHS's

i can already see someone cramming 4 UAC-5's into it with that sort of hard point load out. and that's far more scary than the dual gauss is. so no thanks. i know we will have to put up with it eventually but its already annoying enough the only mech capable of sporting three large ballistic weapons is a hero.

What scares you about 4 UAC5's? They jam, and need a crap load of ammo, and if they were that good the Ilya would be cleaning up the battle field with them. Also, what about the Jagermech? It will have the ability to carry 4 or more and if that scares you just think if they add in the Annihilator how scared do you think your going to be with a mech that can carry 4 AC20's or Gauss Rifles?

i dont know about you but i've seen plenty of Ilya's with 3x ultra's that strip armor off an atlas faster than they can get back under cover. its mean. yes it jams but its not pleasant. its the same firepower as a Gauss every 1.1 seconds, and thats without ultra fire. i think you underestimate them.

i'm perfectly aware of the Annihilator, and it will be one hell of a mech to brawl against. Jagermech would probably have a hard time cramming all that in, to be realistic. just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I love it. And I would buy it.

It's definetly on the higher end of the potential power scale, but then so are the DDC, 3L, A1 and K2... this is just another flavour of top tier.
