(30 ping does NOT give you a lagshield..)

It does. As long as you go over 100kp/h, you're actively somewhere else than the server tells other people.

Ping only makes it worse, but even with impossible 0 ping, you'd still be lagshielded.

You drive a light mech, you know you have an unfair advantage over everyone else. How do you square this in your head? Put aside the fact that PGI has not called what you do cheating. How do you go out every match, in a mech that you and everyone knows has an unfair advantage. If you were a 13 year old i would understand why you enjoy having an I win button. I loved cheat codes when i was 13.

I drive an Atlas. But if I were to Drive a Light, my thinking is, "F*ck You I am playing to win!" Just like it is in every Mech I pilot.

I square it in my head by saying lights are fun to pilot and that fact will not change no matter how much whining you do about how much you're mad and bad at video games.

most of the people that cry netcode are just bad at the game or don't know the difference between lag and netcode, sure there is a netcode issue but it's not nearly as bad as a lot of scrubs make it out to be or I just have magic lasers that manage to kill lights all the time *shrug* either or

'You disagree with me. You are therefore a troll'.

Good attitude. Youre going to go far in life.

Best Light Mech to deal with Lagshield is the Com-2D, buy them and pilot them.

I love lights. They're like piloting a starfighter instead of a cruiser. It's the speed... 150kph? Yes please!

I played and loved my Jenner back in Closed Beta with Knockdowns and since. Now I have a Raven I take out from time to time.

I want knockdowns back as much as any pilot! :D

So, if you disagree with him and that makes him the troll, does me disagreeing with you make you the troll?

where or how did you determine this arbitrary cut off of where lagshield begins and ends (100kph)? I've never gotten the benefit of this on my 101kph Dragon, but then again.....maybe I just never noticed :D

Yet your post was not a troll one? Some people would beg to differ. But again, this is the internet where you can find one person who will disagree with whatever is being discussed.

I square it by choosing not to ignore 25% of the game because some players have decided it is "cheating". If everyone followed all the pronouncements from terrible players about what is "unfair" in this game we'd all be running trial dragons.

I got one just to see how easy it was to drive a LM.

I couldn't believe how easy it was. It msut be 3x easier then driving a med and above mech,

As most of the time the lag shield does not effect the games I play and often I am the first person to be killed during match.

I don't know. Whenever I pilot a light I tend to die more often than not. My damage and xp scores plummet. Am I just a terrible light pilot?
Maybe people have trouble with lights because the light pilots are good mechwarriors?

I won't pilot a light mech until they fix the issues. Why learn how to play something when it isn't working they way it should. I remember the days of piloting a light mech during closed beta. It took a lot of practice to do well (which I didn't).

The lag shield doesn't seem to help me a lot because my connection is generally fairly fast.

I switch to my comando if for some reason my ping is higher then normal....lol.

You might shoot at me here but I'm really over here....mwahhhhhhhaahhahahahaha
